warriors game *spoilers*
Wtf was with Cronk's brain snap in extra time? a chip kick when we had a whole set starting on the 50 metre line? thats the sort of crap we wouldn't do when in decent form.
Finch needs to take more of the kicking also. Im guessing this will come in the following weeks. I liked the potential this has though....Cronk still controlling most but Finch just bring his game into it when required.
Our forwards were most improved tonight.

that kick was for billy who got taken out and also his kick got a hand to it so nothing went to planBullets wrote: Wtf was with Cronk's brain snap in extra time? a chip kick when we had a whole set starting on the 50 metre line? thats the sort of crap we wouldn't do when in decent form.

yeah that was a shocker by cronk. He has lost the plot on occasions this year.
Slaters drop kick effort was also very poor, to say the least.

no way we take that sort of risk in extra time when we were in such good position on the fieldnacho wrote:that kick was for billy who got taken out and also his kick got a hand to it so nothing went to planBullets wrote: Wtf was with Cronk's brain snap in extra time? a chip kick when we had a whole set starting on the 50 metre line? thats the sort of crap we wouldn't do when in decent form.

Well i didn't have my hopes pinned on Slater slotting a long range field goal to win it.Super Cronk wrote: yeah that was a shocker by cronk. He has lost the plot on occasions this year.

Where was Finch for a attempt? he did it on the biggest stage for NSW (that sadly i still remember clearly )

Alot of positives to come out of the game.
White, Blair, Lima were all good.
Greg & Will both had good games, albiet disrupted by the shuffle.
Finch was very good and will only get better.
I thought Aiden Tolman was strong as well. Is Sika is right to go next week then Koopu should be the one to make way.
Good to hear Quinn is OK and it sounds like the type of injury that will take a month or 2 to get right. Guess Joe Tomane will get a spot after all.
No doubt we win if we have 17 on 17.
U/20's won as well.
Melbourne Storm - 46
Tries: Matt Duffie (4), Jesse Bromich, Josh Jerome, Joseph Tomane, Jai Jones-Wiegold, Gareth Widdop
Conversions: Gareth Widdop (5/9)
DEFEATED
New Zealand Warriors - 32
Tries: Thomas Ah Van (2), Nafetalai Seluini (2), Michael Afioga (2), Kurt Kara
Conversions: Shaun Johnson (2/7)
Ive said it before but keep your eye on this Matt Duffie kid, 192cm, Issy type leap. Is going to make a great winger in the top grade one day.

if matt duffie is as good as you say, then i dont see why he shouldnt be in contention for the center/wing spot

It amazes me how quick Greg is, especailly for someone who is 6"5" and 107kg. The fact Denan Kemp couldnt catch him when he was carrying the ball is ridikulus.
Yep, its just freakish.Noa Nandruku wrote: It amazes me how quick Greg is, especailly for someone who is 6"5" and 107kg. The fact Denan Kemp couldnt catch him when he was carrying the ball is ridikulus.
Speaking of very good players....Manu Vatuvei....he will forever be a Storm killer...we have never stopped him and will most likely never be able to stop him.

screw that. for every good game he has he puts in 4 shockers. when he makes a stuff up his confidence drops faster than anyone elses ive seen and he falters under pressure. when he is on he is on...but he only has his size and speed going for him.

I think your being harsh there Super. He is becoming a great player over the last year.Super Cronk wrote: screw that. for every good game he has he puts in 4 shockers. when he makes a stuff up his confidence drops faster than anyone elses ive seen and he falters under pressure. when he is on he is on...but he only has his size and speed going for him.
That was Manu of 2 or 3 years ago. Much more consistant these days. Still prone to drop the odd ball but he makes up for it these days unlike in the past when he would drop a early ball and his head would go down for the rest of the game.
He only has size and speed? man thats exactly what i want from my wingers.
