Sean Loxley has been ruled out of the game with a back complaint Thunderbolts Coach Dean Pay has made several changes to the team that defeated the Eels 22-16 at AAMI Park in the NRL curtain-raiser on Sunday.
The bad news for Storm is in-form fullback Sean Loxley will miss the match against Penrith in Sydney due to a back complaint.
On the flip side top class centre Brayden Wiliame returns to the team and Eddie Fa’amausili has been named to start on the wing.
Ryan Pooley, who was outstanding in Sunday’s win, will move from the wing to replace Loxley at fullback.
“Sean’s been doing a good job for us so he’ll be a loss, but it gives another young guy an opportunity to step up and see what they’ve got,” said Pay.
“Ryan Pooley will do a job for us there this week, he has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for the game and I think he could play wing, fullback or even centre if he had to.”
While the loss of Loxley is a blow to the team, the inclusion of Brayden Wiliame sees his centre pairing with Mahe Fonua re-ignited for the first time in two weeks.
“It’s really good to have them both back,” said Pay.
“I thought Mahe was a little off the pace last week, but in saying that he’ll be better for the two runs out.
“And it’s good to have Brayden back, he was playing some really good footy before his injury.”

Rumour that Dean will be an assistant to Not-so-Tricky Stuart at the Panthers next year.
A good defensive win on the weekend. We should beat the Panthers this week.
