The Carney thing was made up bs.

In all the chaos so far we've only give up 1 try, 2 tries, 1 try in our three loses. Most of those have been down to brain farts by a single person too. If we ever start clicking in attack we'll be fine.

Drinkwater and Johns are injured. Both missing for a couple more weeks. There is always Billy Waters

Correct we are not letting many tries in. But we can not score either.

More Brandon Smith. Less Ryan Hoffman. Less (much less) Young Tonumaipea.

Brodie Croft can stay. Why? 1) We don't have better options. 2) He's good and will show it eventually. He's clearly been singled out by teams and hasn't adjusted to it. He'll come right.

Brandon Smith has barely played a bad minute for this club yet he never gets the opportunity for an extended stint in the first grade line up.

Hoffman is just bang average and is not reliable. Stimson should be given the starting role and that ideally means no Hoffman. However, if Bellyache can't do that because of his obvious close ties to Hoffman then at least curtail his minutes. Better than him giving us 80 bang average minutes.

I'd go with this:

8. Bromwich
9. Smith
10. Asofa-Solomona
11. Felise Kaufusi
12. Joe Stimson
13. Dale Finucane/Brandon Smith

14. Tim Glasby
15. Sam Kasiano
16. Kenny Bromwich
17. Brandon Smith/Ryan Hoffman

Gazing into the crystal ball here,
after today's performance Croft is needing to re-group and re-build his confidence.
Not at all the first time Croft has messed up another restart.
I feel for the guy, he'll obviously bounce back but the Club is bigger then anyone individual and for the sake of the Club he needs to be stood down.

Jesse Bromwich had 133 Metres from 13 Runs. No other Storm forward made more than 80 Metres.

Excluding Jesse, the other 8 forwards averaged 62.5 Metres.

^^ Good to see Jesse look more like Jesse with the ball.

I wouldn't mind errors if we were doing anything with it but most of them a basic drops or poor passes. There's no creativity in attack atm.

Yeah, the attack is looking extraordinarily average at the moment. You can understand that if we were playing quite conservative and not throwing the ball around, but we are... and we are still not even really looking likely.

In the last two games combined, we have scored one try off a kick.

It's not really surprising. The only game where any of our spine have done anything was Munster (at fullback) carved up the Dogs a couple of times. Beyond that all have been average or not good every game.

The defence is fine it's the lack of consistent attacking nous that is missing, it will come with hard work by the Club and patience by the Fans! Storm are not the only pre season top 4 Team favourites struggling but all should turn it round, by the finish of Origin it will look clearer as to what the season run in will look like!
