The Bulldogs have added another premiership-winning State of Origin representative to their roster by securing the signature of Steve Turner for 2010 and 2011.
Turner, 24, has established himself as a senior member of the extremely successful Melbourne Storm, including three grand finals and perennial semi-final appearances, along with wearing the sky blue of New South Wales in 2008.

"Steve has been very impressive both on and off the field," said Bulldogs head coach Kevin Moore.

"He is a quality player with great experience for a 24-year-old, he can play in a variety of key positions and we think he will be another great addition to our club."

Turner, a former Penrith Junior, is excited about the prospect of returning to Sydney to join the Bulldogs family.

"I have been closely monitoring the Bulldogs this year and I think it will be the perfect environment to further my football career." said Turner.

"The Bulldogs culture of a family club is something I like and there style of footy suits the way I like to play."
I suppose it was inevitable, but good luck to Zap for the future.

Yeh good luck to Zap.

Its a shame to lose him but thre is a salary cap and all teams have to do this. The wing spot is one of the easier spots to replace

Hopefully not for a few years ... why because it would probably mean the Dogs number 1 number 1 is injured and the winning percentage when he's out is about 18%

Like this

1. Billy Slater
2. Dane Nielson
3. Chase Stanley
4. Greg Inglis
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Brett Finch???
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Jeff Lima
9. Cameron Smith
10. Brett White
11. Sika Manu
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Dallas Johnson

14. Ryan Hinchcliffe
15. Adam Blair
16. Kevin Proctor
17. Vaea/Anderson/anyone who impresses during the offseason

Not a massive difference....The only spots up for grabs are one of the wing spots, 5/8 and 17 and there is plenty of wing talent running around in the toyota cup team at the moment. What Finch is doing is still up in the air and the last bench spot will be for a forward who carves up during the off season.

You would still want to pick up another outside back or two, at the very least for depth.

At the moment he would have to be as he is getting the nod to play lately. He's been pretty good, i reckon would make a very solid winger.

We still have the likes of Isa, Joe, Duffie, Chisolm all waiting for a crack.

I really wouldn't be hugely concerned about our backline depth. Players that can come in and do the job on the wing are everywhere these days.

Duffie will be on one wing. Book it.

Id be more concerned about the other side, Quinn' neck is giving him alot of problems apparently.

Chisholm for me.

Though i still think Nielson will get the nod cause he now has some games under his belt and Bellamy is not always the fastest to throw untested rookies straight in.
