Guys, does anyone have anymore news on "zappa" leavin the storm next year?  i really hope he stays because he is a very reliable winger and not a bad fill in for billy at the back when he is not there. If he is going does anyone know where? God i hope its not the titans AGAIN.  :x

i havent heard anything but Zappa seems to be playing out of his skin the last few weeks like he is playing for a storm conract or trying to show other teams his talants

the ther thing is the june deadline to sign contracts has gone s it is strange that nothing has been said at all

We'll probably have to wait until next year to know. Contracts won't be registered pass June 30 so he's not signing with anyone soon (if the NRL are consistent!).

that june 30 only applies to player trades etc for this year.

as of about 2 years ago it became open slather on when u can trade players for up coming seasons

well thats how i understood it.

which means, turner cant be traded to another club for the remainder of 09 but a club could between now and the end of the season sign him for 2010 and beyond  (i think)

Definitely right Samo - it's just that after June 30, noone can be registered to boost a side for the remainder of this season.

He's only 26ish isn't he? He's next contract could be his last would be good if he finished at Melbourne

I desperately want Zappa to re-sign with the team.  Got my fingers and toes crossed that he does.

Walker has been given the arse from the Tits...so maybe they are freeing up their cap and their list for another play at Zappa....let's hope it is just coincidence  :'(

He's not going to the Titans, thats for sure.

1. No way would they even look his way again after what he did last time
2. Unlikey they are looking for another back when they have developed the likes of Gordon and Tonga plus they still have Zillman and then they have got Atkins, Jeffery, Bowen and Shannon Walker who can't even get a run and of cource they have Tomane for next year.

If Bellamy loves Zappa so much, someone should have asked him why Quinn was re-signed over Steve. Surely they knew when re-siging Quinn that they were making a choice between the two.

So Quinns been re-signed, is in reserve grade and Turners playing well and can't get a contract!

Zappa is great on his wing, but he has no versatility.  As soon as he ends up with a 1 on his back (actual or in effect) he starts dropping ball and just generally being unimpressive.

The same money could buy a winger that's almost as good who could also play FB or maybe even Centre without being so cringeworthy.
