News just released that the British Home Office has gone against the Home Security Minister and rejected Michael Crocker's appeal for entry into the UK.
Crocker has no other appeal process left to him to join Hull in Super League and with remours abound is expected to sign a deal with Souths.

That's bad news for Crock... pity we look like we'll have to play against him now, but we all know this is surely not the outcome Crock wanted when he asked for his release
Storming our way to glory!

Any truth to the rumor that he's already put pen to paper with South Sydney?

Oh no, i wish he had have gone to England rather than play for another nrl club.
from the storm site:
Best of luck Michael
Friday, May 08, 2009
Former Melbourne Storm premiership player Michael Crocker has today signed a multi-year deal with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Crocker has today signed a multi-year deal with South Sydney
“Michael was an outstanding servant of the Storm both on and off the field and we are pleased he has now sorted out his future,” said Storm CEO Brian Waldron.
“When he approached us midway through last year asking for a release to pursue a career in the English Super League, we were happy to grant him his request. We consequently made alternative arrangements to replace Michael for this season. Clearly his circumstances have changed and we never envisaged he would be playing in the NRL again so soon.
“Salary Cap restraints made it impossible for us to offer Michael a position at the Storm, however, given the circumstances, all at the Storm are happy he’s playing again and wish him all the best at the Rabbitohs.”

I'm a big fan of Mick's,
But I am surprised a club would offer him a 4 year deal,
great player he has been , but I have my doubts he has 4 good years left in his body at NRL level,
good deal for Mick IMO.
Could be Dejavu for the Bunnies though , similiar to the Kidwell signing.

I do wish him well but a little filthy on this.
We released him a year early so he could play overseas...not against us.
Also a small concern that he'll become a target again like he use to be in Sydney by dills. Poor bloke couldn't go out without someone wanting to start him.

I have a feeling he will regret asking for the release out of his Storm contract. And while I am filthy about the situation myself, I wish him the best.Stormwarning[c] wrote: I do wish him well but a little filthy on this.

I think our club dropped the ball on this. He was our lucky charm. They don't come around every day.
Plus didn't Crocker say he would never play for another club in the NRL against the Storm?

He was a great player for us, and I truely wish him all the best. But theres no reason why any of our other players cant fill his boots.gothestorm wrote: I think our club dropped the ball on this. He was our lucky charm. They don't come around every day.
