From the Storm Website
Slater, the reigning Melbourne player-of-the-year, said the decision to stay with the Storm was an easy one.
“This is the club that game me my opportunity in the game, and I can’t even comprehend ever playing against the Storm,” said Slater.
“I’ve grown up with this club, I feel like part of the furniture around here now and I just love pulling on that jersey every week during the season.”
You've gotta love Billy for his loyalty (even if he is a Queenslander). I'm hoping he will play his whole career in Melbourne.

Never in doubt
Excellent news to make it official though. My all time fave Storm player, took over that mantle from Robbie Ross a couple years ago now who i was a massive fan of. I like im sure many others can still remember fondly Robbie carving them up, it's a pity he had such an injury plagued career because as great as he was i still think he had so much more to show.

Great news, he's 26 now (where the feck did that go) so that'll see him out before he heads to England. Really interested to see what role Bellamy has for him this year, I reackon we might see him playing up in the line a bit more pushing GI out wider
