The after party
I'm thinking it's getting further and further away from the 'family' club that we've come to love
I understand recovery and winning games and all that, but they could do it up until last year.......what's changed?

Being in a box the other week I can say no player came back, we had an extra 1 1/2 hours for food and drink and then were told we had to leave. This was the weekend that the 60 minutes crew where there at not one player came back at all.
I guess the thing to thing about is the players, and the fact most of their partners are going to the Social Club shows it could be left to the players on how extra long they take.
I'd rather go back to back (the first in the NRL) and the only tram the media have talked about going back to back than having the players come back to the social club early, after all I'd not rather do 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 ever again.

Having spoken to past players, they can't fathom why this has changed, it seems the club want the Under 20's to do all the senior players "jobs" there were three first grade players in the social club before the others decided to come in and they were walking around freely talking to members and signing autographs, no crush and these three are players that have been at the club more than 3 years.
Our family have been members since start of 1999 and will not be paying for the Social club next year.

I think it had changed last year too, so not sure if it has anything to do with the success of last year?

And we had such a good season then didn't we
Another good indication that the players are doing something different has been when family and partners them checking their watches.

Something happened in 1999, I couldn't put my finger on it. But yeah, 2000 was pretty good up to a point.

I'd just be interested to find out if it's the players or the club driving the change

Course they are!! Sif Storm would have anything other than good blokes in our teams?Mole wrote: what is your opinion on the 20's and socialising with them? they seem like good blokes
Gotta say if we didn't have the U20's at the social club there'd be heaps of disappointed kids out there (and of course some young ladies and a few older folk who like to let the guys know they appreciate em), it's bad enough not having the senior players there but without the younguns the kids would totally miss out on seeing any Storm players at all and that's what's made our social club the best.

Has anyone actually emailed the club to ask?
I got some friends to join up this year and so far they have been less than impressed.Might as well go to the rising sun or any other pub at least you get a good range of drinks.

agree Tigger, it's the kids that are getting short changed in this.
