StormFront, the venue was good, on the Yarra River side of Federation Square. It was a beautiful day and there was room for all, although the stage area was a bit cramped. Best thing was that they had speakers throughout the venue so it didn't matter where you were you could still hear, except maybe in the toilets. Definitely a much better venue than last year.
There were two bar areas, the second was out of sight of the stage but they showed the stage live via a video hookup. Drinks prices were very dear. The comedians were all good, Chris Franklin was MC and he did a bit of comedy, other comedians were Dave Hughes, Mick Meredith, Troy someone and Reg Reagan. Reg got Geyer and Bellamy up on stage and was asking questions of Geyer as if he was Bellamy and vice versa.
As for the auction, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the auction items as it's out of my price range. I didn't keep the auction list nor note what things sold for, but a few items did go for around $2,000.

Did they look as awesome as the maker was telling me they do? We bought a set of these for our offices late last year - they are awesome. Well worth the money for a nice bit of hand-made craftware!Table and 4 chairs with Storm logo and signed $1300
Drum Doctor is the guy that makes them (from up Mooroopna way). I'll have to ask him next game about discounts for Storm fans.
I Think Freeze would be h appy now knowing the price of Nikau's jersey and Boofas that we didnt make it LOL
I would have been willing to go into hock for them. )

Seems like a few very cheap items and some very good buys on the day for those that picked them up.

I know the winner bidder and she considers it an absolute bargain. As the Mastercard add says "dinner with the pending Australian no 7 = priceless"
