If only the Sharks had played like that against the Chooks the week before...Thunderstruck wrote: They didn't seem to play that badly on Friday night and some have said that most other teams would've easily been walloped by 50 points.

Considering how well the Sharks played (in my opinion), I am elated with the scoreline and how well the guys defended. I do believe that the scoreline should've been 34-12 with King's knock-back being hastily ruled knock-on, but I'm very happy nevertheless!
And considering that our attack is still not firing on all cylinders (something that I've been saying for weeks now), 28 (or 34) points is quite outstanding.
But without a doubt, the highlighting feature of the 2006 win over the Sharks at Olympic Park will be the exceptional defense! I takes me back a few years to the impenetrable brick wall that the Eels had, and it's something that we certainly are displaying consistently of late.
I refuse to single out any player this week - it was yet another wonderful team performance. Well done guys!!

None yet AFAIK, but on the judiciary front, Kevin Kingston (Sharks hooker) has been cited for a grade 1 dangerous throw on Michael Crocker, and could miss next Friday night's home clash with Newcastle. But Crocker said the tackle wasn't too bad & that Kingston doesn't deserve to be rubbed out for it (which I think is probably a fair assessment).

The revised crowd, not a huge change, but it helps the average:Mikey wrote: any news on the revised crowd as yet
Following on from yesterday’s note regarding a faulty turnstile on Friday night at Olympic Park for Melbourne Storm’s match against the Sharks, the correct crowd figure is 11,673.

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but was anyone else disappointed that the Sharks players did not stay out on the ground for the presentaion for Geyer?
Just common courtesy i would have thought.

They were taking their cue from Andrew Johns, except they're not the ones getting the award

She's gone! The wicked witch is gone! Oh - I like snowballing too!
Yep Dani I thought it was poor form from the Sharks, especially Kimmorley given that they used to play together and won a premiership togetherStormGurlDani wrote: I don't know if it has been mentioned, but was anyone else disappointed that the Sharks players did not stay out on the ground for the presentaion for Geyer?

If I remember correctly, the Tigers ? stayed on the field for Robbie Kearns' farewell and I don't see Geyer's 200th as any less important/special.

What about the Sharks not stopping for the national anthem? They still keep training while it was being played.

To be honest didn't realise they weren't on the field.......as once the game was finished THEY weren't important anymore .
Was poor form though and considering they played probably the best footy they had played in weeks and didn't come away with the points I too would have been pissed enough not to stay on the field to have my nose rubbed in it as well.
After all we do that very well down here, don't we.
