Well, we have been back into pre-season training for a month now and it seems like a good opportunity to bring you up to date with where our injured players are at. Not too much to report at this stage, and all is looking good for those players coming back after injury or surgery.
Dennis Scott:
Scooter had surgery to his shoulder at the end of last season. He has been progressing steadily through his rehabilitation and has just moved back into restricted football training over the last week. He is doing well and at this stage we expect him to be back into full training by the time we return from our Christmas break.
Ben Cross:
Ben came to us from Canberra with a left shoulder that had also been operated on. He has been keeping Scooter company with his rehab and has also moved back into restricted training. Again, we expect that he will be doing full training in January.
Glen Turner:
Glen had ankle surgery at the end of the season. He is on track with his recovery and will start some low intensity running this week. Again, we do not expect him to be back on the training track at full capacity until the New Year.
Jamie Feeney:
Jimmy also had ankle surgery at the end of the season. He started running today and looks good. He should be back into full training before Christmas.
Sika Manu:
Sika is one of our Brisbane based players who is down here for the preseason. He rolled an ankle at training a couple of weeks ago and has been doing alternate training. He is back running now and has moved back into full training today.

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

Billy's ankle is recovering well. He is out of his brace and is walking freely. He has some rehab to do over the break and we expect him to be back to full training early in the pre-season.
and the last i heard of steve turner was he was fine....some people say he still walks with a limp and others say he doesnt

nah slater suffered from that in late 04...he got that fixed before the 2005 season IIRC(i could be totally wrong tho) and thats why he had lost a little bit of speed. At teh end of 2005 he did his ankle...and he is in pre-season training...so he is sweet.MONY wrote:i just thought his groin was still lima lima lima duck didnt he suffer from ostetis pubis towards the latter end of the season... thats why Inglis was in or i just could be totally confusing myself.

Billy Slater
Bill sustained a 'hip pointer' on the weekend. This is when the pelvic bone gets bruised along its rim
Monday, September 12, 2005
Billy injured his left ankle in the second half on Saturday night. Our initial diagnosis was that he had sustained a high ankle sprain and this was confirmed on the MRI scan yesterday. At this stage Bill is wearing a Cam walker/ ankle brace and is on crutches and he is expected to be on the sidelines for between two and six weeks.
I Just thought that he was receiving some surgery on his groin because of his past problems with it but it seems like he only concentrated on his ankle.
