One can only guess at what the Storm were planing on doing with this figures ... but you convincingly beat Souths at least.

The website for the Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs is the most popular of all NRL clubs, according to a recent study.

The Melbourne Storm recently asked each NRL club to send in figures regarding visits to their website. Of the 15 Clubs, eight took part in the survey.

These figures revealed that the Bulldogs website was the most visited of all NRL Clubs with 65,505,420 total hits during the 2005 regular season. This was nearly double the total number of hits achieved by the Sharks who polled second with 35,996,122 hits.

It was a similar story regarding Total Visitors to the Clubs’ websites with the Bulldogs coming out on top with 2,235,990 visitors. The Broncos achieved the next highest number of Total Visitors with 782,331.

The Roosters, Cowboys, Tigers, Dragons, Eels, Panthers and Warriors did not participate in this survey.

I understand that these figures are for the regular season? Here's the corresponding figures for StormLeague.com since March 2005:

Total Hits: 7,313,433 (Storm: 7,441,673)
Total Page Views: 1,595,173 (Storm: 852,186)
Total Visitors: 218,807 (Storm: 249,943)

Well - I think it's pretty cool! :)

And God only knows how it gets those figures, most people I speak to hate the site and the fact that it's never up to date ... Although that should probably change and maybe even improve the stats for 2006 because they have recently hired a friend of mine (well more an accquaintence but at least he knows what the fans want being one himself) to run it.

The Storm figures are pretty damn good for a side that apparently lacks support.

Well firstly while I have many pics with players, the times I have my camera Sonny is always swamped by fans and I can't be bothered getting close to him (or looking like a groupie) and also I may support the team and I appreciate his skill level (when he actually gets on the field, in the mean time I think he is getting paid too much to sit in the stands) I really don't have that many individual favourites (apart from Tony Grimaldi) and where as with other clubs that I don't support there are players I like e.g. Cam Smith at the Storm.

BTW It may not feature Sonny but here is a pic that basically sums up my NRL season ... I didn't even realise Willie was in the shot until I uploaded it. LOL

Why thank you :D
Though IMO neither Sonny nor team really spoilt me this year ... the only spoiling of the fans was done in the first half of the first game, then his injury and everyone else's spoilt the season.

And no Sonny wasn't there, I don't think his knee would have held up for the goal kicking for charity challenge the players took part in that day.
