Origin II
I like it from Bill (given whats available), I rekon it's a better team, more reliable starting pack and more impact off bench. As a blue I'm far less confident than game 1. Don't agree with the dce dumping though, and I'm still backing blues in a nail biter

In a 43 minute stint against the Cowboys his stat line read
13 Hit Ups
146 running metres
59 post contact
8 tackle breaks
1 line break
20 tackles
0 missed tackles
0 errors
That means he is making over 10 metres per run, which implies he is breaking the advantage line every time he carries the ball, 59 post contact means every time he carries the ball he goes 4 or 5 metres past the point of contact, 8 tackle breaks implies he makes a man miss or fall off every 2nd run he has.
No errors, no misses, reliability and strength, the pillars of origin football. And best of all, he isn’t an absolute flop off the field like Terrell May is, there’s a reason why a guy like May isn’t picked and it has nothing to do with his football ability, it’s all about attitude and he has the worst.
What has Terrell May done off the field that you personally know of or has been confirmed or even rumoured to show he has a poor attitude and is a flop?
Sure your not getting him confused with his two brothers? Time may prove him to be a flog, and likely that's the only apparent conclusion to draw for his non selection, as on field he's been consistently better than uto for sure (as has koloa), but he deserves the benefit of the doubt, as I've seen no evidence to confirm flog status ...yet.
Mate you would argue with me if I said the sky was blue.
Let’s look at this rationally, Terrell May is a fantastic footballer, that’s a fact.
Here are some other facts:
- He was signed mid year to a huge extension by the Sydney Rooster after being their form player and then released less than 6 months later, with no confirmation as of why.
- Prior to that he And Brandon Smith shared a reel of themselves sniffing and wiping powder from their noses, surely from a flu going around at the time.
- Being the form front rower of the comp since his move to the Tigers, he has been overlooked again by Laurie, CB and the selectors, again with no reasoning why.
These are all interesting facts, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to read between the lines, do I know Terrell personally? No. But obviously people in the know have good enough reasons to sack him and leave him out of rep teams, all this points to attitude or behavioural issues, my point simply being for Origin camp Stefano is performing fine on the field but more importantly isn’t going to bring any of that destabilising behaviour into camp, and an even more interesting point? Leinu and Mam both got picked … makes you wonder what Terrell did doesn’t it?

The sky takes on a more greyish hue this time of year i find
I take all your points and it's probably true but I'm not a judgemental person and believe in giving benefit of doubt until i see/know the evidence myself. Cautious as it may be; because the writing is on the wall with him
To be fair to the refs - gods, did I actually say that? - Trent has made his own bed as far as the refs watching him goes. If he pulls his head in now it might take a year or two to get back on their good side.Bullucked wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 1:29 pm
It's no secret he $hits me to tears with Iill discipline and not getting back on side. But the naked eye notes he brings something else, something intangible that I can't quite put a finger on, but there's something.
If he could just get his discipline sorted (and I feel for him just a tiny teeny wee little bit as the ref's do seem to focus a lot on him) and get himself back on side, EVERY TIME, he could be first picked for QLD.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately
Loeiro and Capewell starting, Munster as Captain. Carrigan on the bench. Mann at 14 and Mam in the squad.
Billy's either a genius, or he's lost the plot.

Agree - I can’t understand some of the changes. Would have loved Howarth and Horsbrough in there for physicality. Hopefully Billy has a surprise or two planned

I hear ya with this.
If anyone has sports ears on at the game and listens to the ref's you'll hear them telling Nelson to go easy and constantly calling Trent out. (I'm constantly calling Trent out too!) Both players unfortunately have "made their beds".
One thing it does show is a bit of bias in the referees (that shouldn't be there).
Sadly for Nelson he is a victim of his own size and the way the game is going fellas of his stature will be chased out of the game.
Position - Left right out or hung out to dry
