I'd love to see him get a run.........could play the Hinchcliffe type role, give some minutes at Lock and rake when needed.blazza18 wrote:Bellamy talked up Brandon Smith today. Wonder if he'll play this weekend.
Wouldn't ind seeing Kenny or Felise given a week off - freshen them up - bring in NAS and Smith
Problem is, we have no-one of equal calibre though.braddo7 wrote:Wouldn't ind seeing Kenny or Felise given a week off - freshen them up - bring in NAS and Smith
Dropping Felise to the bench is message enough. To be honest, Felise offered more impact from the bench than he has starting this year.
If NAS is available, he should come in for Nicholls.
I am very much looking forward to Brandon getting a run but I just cannot advocate for a non-running forward taking up a bench spot. Especially with Jesse still out.

I just don't see the point in carrying a back-up hooker when Cam Smith is in the starting lineup. If we're going to carry a utility (which I don't think we need while Tohu's around) then I'd prefer Jacks who has at least some first grade experience.
He'll play backrow/lock. I have no doubt that this was always the intention. He would not have come here knowing Smith would be at 9 for another few years with the intention of biding his time in the lower grades for as long as C.Smith was around.
I agree there is no-one of equal calibre....im just thinking Felise could do with a rest. He's done more work thus season then the rest of his career combined.yourhero wrote:Problem is, we have no-one of equal calibre though.braddo7 wrote:Wouldn't ind seeing Kenny or Felise given a week off - freshen them up - bring in NAS and Smith

And not having four running forwards on the bench? Im not too fussed. I can't see any other role for Brandon Smith right now then a Hinchcliffe type role, like I mentioned earlier. And lets be honest, Tui and Nicholls were bloody average last week, so it's not as of we'd be sacrificing a heap of metres!

i'd say fair certainty Smith and Smith will play...
just to change it up. grunt. toughness. innovation.
everything Mark N (God love him) just doesn't bring

Wonders will never cease the Storm put out an injury report :
NAS needed to get through training to play this week
Welch knee season
Turpin broken ankle unlikely to play again this season
Leuluai due back next week in Qld Cup
Galo possibly next week, more likely week after
