Falcons put in a pretty good 2nd half to overturn a 14 point half time deficit and sneak home 25-24, although if they actually had someone that could kick conversions it wouldn't have been as close.
Hampton was really good and was probably the difference (he didn't do much kicking during play), and Scott, Stimson, and Seluini were the other standouts for me. NAS improved as the game went on, using his size to bully his way through, but his ball control wasn't that great early on.
Overall it was a good first hit out in hot conditions on the Sunshine Coast.

I just watched Mackay Cutters v Easts Tigers. Only two Storm players played:
Suilasi Vunivalu: Made a number of good runs from dummy half. Also made a good run from 20 metre restart that started the set that resulted in match winning try. Didn't get much opportunity with the ball in attack.
Francis Tualau: Solid in defence, made a number of good runs, a couple where he poked his head through the line. In very hot conditions in Mackay, Tualau started the match and played first 45 minutes of the match.
I'm not sure how the Tigers won, Mackay led 22-4 after 30 minutes. The first time Tigers hit lead was when Javarn White scored a try with 78 minutes on the clock. A very good effort away from home in the heat coming from a long way behind.
