Devastating news - I feel sick to the stomach. Thoughts are with Alex, family and team mates
I also feel for Jordan as it was a tragic accident and I can only imagine how he is feeling at this time. Chin up champ, I'm sure he does not blame you as does 99% of the public. Don't listen to the twats out there playing the blame game!

Watching the game on fox live and they have not mentioned it, just wondering if this is true, I can't see that they wouldn't say anything if it was

Yeah...some of those people have some warped views..
also;
A fair bit iirc - although hard to quantify due to lack of social media/forums etc - even though it was a distant memory by the time he got here....i remember being a bit uncertain about how wise of a choice his signing was. Unfortunately, that's the sort of stigma J-Mac will carry with him too.

UPDATE!!!!!
Update from Mark Affleck: To everybody posting, reposting and sharing posts about recent news regarding Alex McKinnon.
MMM did a extensive interview and update regarding this.
Alex McKinnon has NOT been told he will be a quadriplegic!
He has been told that at this stage the diagnosis is quadriplegia.
At this stage his spine has been stabilised. His spinal cord is significantly damaged BUT was not severed.
The next step is flying him to the spinal unit in Sydney where they will begin looking at his spinal cord and how they can treat it.
The damage to his spinal cord at present is resulting in quadriplegia - but this is not to say that this is permanent. It may well be - but the Doctors are certainly not there at this point. They haven't even begun!
It was also made clear that the Doctors in these cases only talk to patients and family IN THE PRESENT - as the issues are serious and they can make no promises or guarantees - they don't get ahead of themselves and try to not let patients get ahead of themselves one way or the other. They are staying in the now.
I don't see that sensationalised social media can help Alex or his family and friends - especially when it's going in a completely different direction to what the Doctors and Specialists are themselves taking with Alex and his family!
