2011 Official Thread + Signing news
in the telegraph today they said "With only a couple of spots on Storm's 2012 roster to be filled, the planning for next year's campaign had already begun with an experienced prop and possibly a centre still on the club's shopping list." surely there is money left over with champion and blair leaving next year, anyone heard about ryles yet? has he signed with anyone?
on another note, has anyone else noticed since we have been knocked out of 2011 that all the articles and commentators only saying good things about the club and players?

tony Williams still doesn't have a club next season? cowboys are now trying to lure him to queensland .. he would be great in our forward pack, his the type of player we need! doubt he would come down here though.

Seems like the Moylan deal hasn't worked out. Quotes from rleague forum.
Can anyone confirm/deny if the Storm/Moylan deal fell through and any reasons if it did?
Has fallen through. Other clubs chasing for his signature though.
Not sure sorry mate. All I know is that the deal has fallen through due to an on-going shoulder injury that requires surgery and that a few other clubs are sniffing around. Not sure which ones though.

That was a joke btw.
And yes the league needs a year to get ready for Denny.

With Duffie, Nielsen, Blair, O'Neill, Waqa, Quinn, Fonua and Williame all on the 2012 books and the herald sun stating were in the market for another centre, i don't understand why Moylan signed to start with, we have plenty of 3/4 depth. We need a quality in their prime prop, nothing more, we have plenty of depth and talent everywhere else.
i think we have already been through the johnny munnah thing a few pages back

JUSTIN Holbrook has emerged as a shock contender to coach St George Illawarra’s under-20s side next season.
The Leader understands the former NRL halfback, who played 17 top grade games for Newcastle, Penrith and Sydney Roosters between 1999-2002, is among the candidates to fill the position.
Holbrook, 35, will search for successive NSW Cup grand final wins on Sunday when he leads Canterbury’s reserve grade side against Auckland Vulcans, having coached the team to premiership success last season.
Former international Paul McGregor was considered for the job before being appointed head coach of the Dragons feeder club, Illawarra, in the NSW Cup.
It is expected that incumbent under-20s coach Adrian Lam would not be offered the position next season after an inconsistent two-year stint where the side failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
Lam and incoming Dragons NRL coach Steve Price are the only two previous coaches of the Dragons National Youth Competition side since the competition began in 2008.
Meanwhile, St George Illawarra forward Michael Greenfield is set to be released from the final year of his contract.
Greenfield, 26, who has played 12 games since joining the Dragons last season is likely to join Melbourne Storm.
* St George Illawarra duo Nathan Fien and Jason Nightingale have been named in New Zealand’s train-on squad for the up-coming Four-Nations tournament while Ben Creagh and Brett Morris have been ruled out of Australia’s squad with injury.
Should the Dragons let Michael Greenfield go and who should coach the Dragons under-20's? Tell us below
