Kearns - many marketing hours as Storm Ambassador.  He is constantly in the media, and has been since day 1.  He has effectively run the after party for the last number of years (excluding last year - but him and Robbo were back running the show on Sunday night!!).  He does plenty of work, and that pay packet would not be far off what most ambassadors would get paid for their work.
Storming our way to glory!

Um, what?
Club sources say Kearns had to refuse the English offer because he had been promised about $360,000 as a delayed ''backend'' bonus as a way to top up his legitimate player salary. It was an offer too good to refuse from an organisation that some insiders describe as ''the family''.

The catch? Kearns had to stay in Melbourne and turn up nine-to-five for three years to get his money in weekly pay packets.
So ... it was a 'backend' bonus for Kearnsy as a player ... but he had to continue working for three years to get it. The hell has that got to do with the salary cap?

Attacking Kearns' credibility is just low.  A new low in a week of lows.  [-(
