Nothing wrong at all with picking the side, its all good fun,

But if we had've had this thread, this time last year, who would have picked the 17 that ran out for the GF,

Nielsen on the wing, Tolman starting at prop, Blair in the 2nd row, Tandy (who ?)  Anderson on the bench , Finch at stand off  ( yeah right),

Its funny how things can change in 1 year,

I'm really looking forward to next year though , into the new stadium as premiers, happy days.
Go the Allblacks, Richmond , and the mighty Storm

Theres quite a few variables for next year so its tough to decide who will be in it.

Such as:
- will Sika and Quinny be ready
- how will Kali and Fanene (Both of whom I rate big time) come back from injuries
- will Bromwich be ready to grab a spot
-Is Duffie going to be ready physically.
- If John Kite lives up to his potential he will be in the 17

If you look at it positively regarding injuries and players reaching there potential, next year could be the most talented squad we have. So much so that Tandy and Anderson would be no certainties to keep there spots.

1. Slater
2. Justin O'Neill - Think he may be more ready then Duffie, but put him on Gregs side.
3. Stanley
4. Inglis
5. Neilson

6. Finch
7. Cronk

8. White
9. Smith
10.Tolman
11.Blair
12. Hoffman
13. Johnson

14. Hinchcliff
15. Manu - Fanene if Siks is not ready
16. Proctor
17. Tandy

And like I said watch for Bromwich, Fanene, Kite and Sinbad Kali to put real pressure on Tandy for that last bench spot.

I got to say after typing that, that the team looks better then this year.

Really doesn't help that our under 20s are the best in the country too.
I'm tipping an early release for a someone like Anthony Quinn maybe?
Funny that not long ago we were struggling for depth now we'll be struggling to fit everyone in!
I think we'll come close if not win it next year, the confidence in the team will be enormous and the competition for spots will keep players honest.
Wow bring on 2010.
"Better to have Won then Lost, than to have never won at all" Arrogant, but true hahahaha

I'd expect Sika to miss a fair chunk at the start of the season.  Even if it is just getting the confidence back in the leg after such a break

The Mail understands Melbourne Storm's Ryan Tandy, who helped Rovers survive their first season in Super League, could be another possible target.

Tandy joined the Robins in May 2007 and played 12 games as the club fought for survival.

Last Sunday, Tandy helped the Storm win their second Grand Final in three years but his future is still undecided.

Tandy signed a deal for next year with the Storm a few weeks before he played his first game. I would assume it would be on $75 or $100,000. But would also assume that because we have helped him resurrect (kick start) his career and all the hard work he has put in down here particularly on his defence that he wouldn't throw that away to head back to ESL.

2. Dane Nielsen
3. Chase Stanley
4. Greg Inglis
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Brett Finch
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Aiden Tolman
9. Cameron Smith
10. Brett White
11. Sika Manu
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Adam Blair

14. Ryan Hinchcliffe
15. Jeff Lima
16. Scott Anderson
17. Ryan Tandy

So basically, Quinn in for Turner, Stanley in for Chambers and Manu in for Johnson (If he leaves, which now looks highly likely), from the Grand Final team. obviously there are going to be injuries and suspensions, so Kevin Proctor would be the next forward along with Hep Cahill. My side is fairly similar to others already posted.
