During the SoO1 game this year, I brought in a Noodle Box from outside, no questions asked.
However, one time I brought in some soft drink cans in a plastic bag. I had to throw them out at the gate, because they could have been used as a missile.
Maybe it depends who is manning the gate at the time?

yeah it does depend on whos manning the gate i recon, we walked to gate 1 and asked to bring in bottles of coke in our bag, the guy said no.
we then went to gate 2 and the guy was perfectly ok with it.
