Re: RD 8 - ANZAC Round v Warriors (AAMI Park)

I agree the lack of continuity with our halves and also full back has been an issue. The fact NZ scored a man down on our edges just shows something isn't clicking with communication. Katoa out for the next few weeks will hurt, I also think his combo with Hughes needs significant improvement so that...

Re: RD 8 - ANZAC Round v Warriors (AAMI Park)

Nelson is either playing for a big contract elsewhere.... Or dare I say he's playing out of his skin because he's committed here long term?

Either way, he is a generational player I'll say it now. With direction and discipline he is a world beater

Re: RD 8 - ANZAC Round v Warriors (AAMI Park)

Oh boy. As Manly did, Warriors are fired up and every player is energised. Off to a flyer and we have our work cut out for us. Hard without possession I just hope we start making smarter choices. Edit. Take a bow Munster an extremely timely 40/20 bravo, and Olam capitalises! Hats off to Loiero for t...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Nelson's post about gratitude with a photo of aami park with a rainbow is proof enough to me that he is staying

I remember when NAS was exiled due to vaccination status and Jesse basically said Nelson is ignoring his calls - I hope thats a sign that they arent on great terms.

Also, Tripp would move heaven and earth for Nels.

Re: RD 8 - ANZAC Round v Warriors (AAMI Park)

Nas is a huge inclusion. I'm happy he is in, he is young and full of muscle surely his knee can repair in time. This game could not be better positioned for NZ, essentially a home crowd, in red hot form against a flat storm on a huge occasion. If Pene can make the squad I'd feel much better, we need...

Re: RD 7 - Storm @ Manly (4 Pines Park)

Thought Tom Eisenuth played pretty good, he's deceptively hard to tackle but would presume based on his old age he has done a groin or similar.

In 20 odd minutes he made more meters than majority of our fwd pack

Knocked backwards but Munster dragged it forward into his own body when collecting.

Re: RD 7 - Storm @ Manly (4 Pines Park)

That's the knockout blow. With big bodies running that close you know they will get over. We did it with Nelson in years gone by, it's a winning combination.

Re: RD 7 - Storm @ Manly (4 Pines Park)

We are falling a part and simultaneously hanging in there. This is the most frustrating game.

I stand by it that manly are too big and too fired up, we just cant match them when we give them 50m starts to their set.

Edit: "pathetic" is probably a little harsh given the conditions and reffing, but we're far from good, put it that way.
Reffing is a cop out. They call it as they see it.

Re: RD 7 - Storm @ Manly (4 Pines Park)

I think Pezet at 5/8 and Meany at FB is a better on field combo than Pezet and Munster at FB. I feel Munster is being asked to do a bit of both and as a result he's doing both roles poorly.

I say it each week we are under the pump but Welch is still out there doing a huge opening stint. This is what a captain does! Love the leadership.

Re: RD 7 - Storm @ Manly (4 Pines Park)

They are bashing us within the laws of the game and it's working very well.

Their forwards are running hard every single carry. They are also super human size. Missing Nelson for sure this week.
