Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Anyone heard of Solomone Kata being signed before June 30?

Re: Round 8 - Sharks vs Storm
Suli and NAS really havent developed. Really can’t say they’re any better than they were couple years ago and they should be coming into their prime soon, especially Suli. Croft is my favourite player but I’m starting to lose faith in him a little. Hughes was caught out of position more than once an...

Re: Round 8 - Sharks vs Storm
Is Hughes carrying an injury? Doesn’t look like he’s running too freely.
I was quite impressed with the Chambers/JAC combination, created a few opportunities.
I’m gonna get shot down for saying this but I would put Suli at centre and put an extra 5 kg on him.

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Roosters
Just saw the presser. Bellamy went solo so more question marks over Smith.
I don’t like any of our centre options tbh. Even the guys who can replace Scott don’t give me much confidence now that Cheyse is gone.

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Roosters
I the the the strategy behind Smith not kicking at all was to let Munster and Croft run the game and make the decisions. I hope this is permanent. Smith really came into his own in the second running the ball so well and picking the right players to pass to. Not happy with Jesse and Curtis. I’d put ...

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Roosters
Great game we had 3 or 4 chances to win it but too many stupid mistakes and missed kicks.
Croft isn’t quite there yet but if we’re 1 point off the best then I’ll take that.

Re: Round 5 - Cowboys vs Storm
I thought the refs and touchies were shocking tonight and I hate having a go at them.
Best wishes to Nene hope he comes out of it ok.
I didn’t catch the first half but from all reports it was one of those every now and again slopfests we get into.

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
I really rate Cheyse. Can have the odd shocker but can also be a shut-down centre and honestly deserves to be in the mix for selection given our starters aren’t really in the best form.

I’m thinking Stephen Bell too.
Others that come to mind are Matt Orford, Steve Turner and Danny Williams.

Re: Round 1 - Storm vs Broncos
I noticed that Croft blew an overlap by going for an inside pass which I don’t think is actually his fault but more trying to stick to what he’s learned in the structure rather than play what’s in front of him. I was really happy with his game but I hope he’s not afraid to play his natural game.

Re: Round 1 - Storm vs Broncos
Tui looks pure muscle and was surprisingly very good. I was also very impressed by Kenny Bromwich. His efforts off the ball was just as good as his ball carrying. I only mention those two because they exceeded my expectations since it was a great all-round effort. Oh and another thing, Tui Kamikamic...

Re: 2019 Trials
I’m gonna throw in another option. JAC to fullback and Earl to wing. Josh DID mention it in an article I read so if Hughes isn’t in the team or playing halfback (Croft hasn’t improved from what I’ve seen) then it could be a possibility.
Other than that, Hughes should have been first choice FB anyway.

Re: Munster to Fullback in 2019?
We’d have the most inexperienced starting halves combo in the league. I guess it’s a long season and I should have a bit more faith.
