Re: North Queensland Cowboys snare Jordan McLean from Melbourne Storm
True enough, Danger D , but those 4 lads might be outplayed by the following team made up of players who made their name with us before moving on to other clubs. Some of them came from other clubs , but as rejects. None left as rejects. 1. G Inglis 2. I Folau/ S Waqa 3. M King 4. S Bell/ D Nielsen 5...

Re: North Queensland Cowboys snare Jordan McLean from Melbourne Storm
So frustrating. That is just the way it is, but being a supporter is about emotional investment over a long period of time, and that is hard when the players have a different set of values. The hardest part is that it is announced while the season is still going. At least in the AFL one can enjoy th...

Re: Round 3 Storm v Broncos
I agree, Bullucked. The first penalty claim for Suli was line ball, but the second ( which was just below and to the right of where I sit ) was absolutely blatant. Not nearly enough use of the sin bin for professional fouls. Two amazing things happened in the Newcastle game tonight within a one minu...

Storm u 20s win again, 28-24. On top, unbeaten after 3 rounds, as with the seniors. Good stuff. Winning the close ones.

Re: Queensland Cup 2017
Both Easts and Sunshine Coast won today ( reading from QRL website ). Good news - heaps of Storm players involved , including Brandon Smith and Jahrome Hughes. As far as I can gather , the only Storm players who did not play this weekend were Slade , Tohu, Curtis Scott and Shem. Of course we now los...

Re: Round 3 Storm v Broncos
I thought Billy made a very encouraging return . A bit rusty for sure, but I had feared we might never see him again, and loved his aggression and preparedness to put himself in the play. Loving JAC. Chambers sometimes frustrating for sure, but again puts himself in the play. Good figures for hit up...

Re: Round 3 Storm v Broncos
I am guessing that this game was targeted by him for quite a while. If he is lacking a little confidence , a home game with an adoring crowd behind him would be far more attractive than Belmore or NZ. Query even if he starts off the bench. I know there will be those who say that is rubbish , and tha...

Re: Round 2 - Warriors vs Storm
Terrific win. After having three tries disallowed - the third one being an absolute joke - they could have dropped the bundle but kept pressing. Very impressive win. Joe Stimson looks like he has been playing first grade for years. Vincent nice and aggressive with his hit ups. Munster superb. All th...

Re: Storm V Bulldogs
So so proud of the lads. Doggies are always a tough matchup for us. Lots of issues - Jesse's injury, possible suspensions for Chambers and Blair ( Munster will be fine, according to the commentators) - BUT super super defence. Very impressed with JAC ( but he must learn to play the ball correctly - ...

Re: Billy Slater
I wonder if Billy might be looking at our first home game - round 3 against the Broncos - for his return. It certainly would amp up the publicity. I just hope he makes it back and makes it through the season.

Re: Round 1 Line Up
I agree re Brodie Croft off the bench. Craig's structure allowed for Ben Hampton off the bench , so you'd think Croft could slot into that role. It does rely on Kenny and Finucane playing big minutes ( as KP did - and we know Jesse and Tohu will ), as he will only have three big boppers on the bench...

Linc Port is a bolter. I have to admit I had never heard of him. I have read a couple of articles since the announcement , and see he is a 25 year old journeyman fullback from Cairns. Best of luck to you, Linc. Let us hope the Bellamy magic rubs off on you !
