Re: Round 16 - Storm vs Tigers
JAC has been dropped for Jordan Rankin. Unsurprising given recent form. They would have been concerned Suli would have run straight over him.

Re: Slade Griffin
Well done Slade on your first game in 3 years. A triumph for your perseverance, which says a lot about your strength of character. Great effort, young man.

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Am I the only one who thinks Brodie Croft should be the 5/8 succession plan? No you are not, Matt. I am with you on that. I am sure the Storm recruiters envisaged that the long term combination is Croft and Drinkwater. Brodie looks good enough to step in from round 1 next year if required, with Sco...

Re: Injury Reports
I agree with you Sally May- and hello to you ! This is the first time I have responded to one of your posts. I wanted to acknowledge that your excellent insights are one of the main reasons I have followed this website for a couple of years and have now joined. As to injuries,The midweek report from...

Re: Round 15 - Storm vs Dragons
Full strength we would have won by 30 points!! Never really had a chance, but not embarassed, under the circumstances hard to be too upset at the result, great to see Croft play well and Suli gets another double!! No more Origin affected games as we get the bye for game 3 so now we can focus on an ...

Re: Slade Griffin
On the website injury report today ( which again was disappointingly lacking in detail) , Frank said that he may return from injury into QCup this week. So that is good - at least he does not have a long term injury.

Slade Griffin
Does anyone know if Slade is ok ? He apparently did not play last weekend, and is not selected for Q Cup,this weekend. I had hoped he might have been pushing for selection in this game with Cam unavailable, but with his shocking injury run I am concerned by his absence.

Re: Rnd 14 vs Roosters @ Allianz
I saw in the NRL website a heading "Blair charged", I assume Adam Blair had done something wrong ! I did not think for a moment that Cheyse would be charged. When watching the game you usually get a good feel for whether one of our guys might be in trouble, but there was no inkling there m...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
To be honest i couldn't give a toss about what he does at the Tigers this year. They're an average team with and even more average coach, are totally undisciplined and just a shit club to boot. Give him a pre-season with us under Bellamy and he'll be just fine just like the vast majority of them ar...

Re: Rnd 14 vs Roosters @ Allianz
Well after last week I suggested that Craig might rest Suli for this week and bring in Young. Silly me ! Brilliant game , Suli. That is why Craig is coach, and I am sitting on the couch watching our fabulous team.
Super effort by all the boys. Munster - what a gun !

Re: Cameron Smith the next 007?
Fair call- and judging by the way Cameron's hair is retreating he will be bald like old Sean in a few years ( not that there is anything wrong with that ) ! Also I am not sure if the Bond scripts would allow James to say "yeah mate " in Cameron's very Aussie accent . Having said that, ther...

I agree he did not exactly light it up yesterday. However the conditions were abysmal, and the club was impressed with his debut against us.The Mauritian wrote:Watched him closely in yesterday's game. He needs a bit of work. He is certainly not as strong as Koroibete. We are going to miss Marika.

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers
The effort of both of them - especially Coop - to back up from Origin and play so well on Saturday was extremely heartening . As per a posting last week, I feared that Coop would not back up. He made me eat my words. Brilliant effort - a triumph for his professionalism and a very positive statement ...

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers
Very good win against good opposition. Agree with the comments above, but I note also the excellent performances by Proctor and Finucane. Glasby is also bending the line much more when he comes on. Marieke hurt his shoulder making a tackle ( actually looked like a shoulder charge by him ), and went...
