Re: Storm Ownership?
Worth noting the NRL grant covers 100% of the (legal) salary cap - all the rest is the cost of running the club. Listeneing to SEn last year they were talking to the storm rep who said it takes 14-16 million to run a club like the storm. Yep its a lot of money but if you addit up (NRL = 4, membershi...

Re: Storm Team want to stay together
Crap - players take less money to stay with a club through loyalty all the time how do you value a players worth - for example a front rower will do the hardest work, take the most pain and put the most work in but will never, ever be paid the same as Billy, Cam or Gi - so please dont gimme that c...

Actually the investigation is in relation to 11 players.

Re: Bellamy & Players Continue to be Defiant
That fact Crocker was going to so Clint Newton could stay and Coops already has would suggest the opposite. Ok some of the lower paid players wont - and probably cannot afford to but the high paid ones who have been at this club since they were 15-16 probably would as they have developed as a group....

Re: Storm Team want to stay together
From what Gallop said he could not envisage them taking pay cuts THIS YEAR to allow them to pay. i dont recall saying about anything else so far. Also poses the question, that as clubs sign stars for 2-5 years who would have the $ to sigh one of ours as they would not have budgetted for them coming ...

Re: Bellamy & Players Continue to be Defiant
Umm..given Coops took a pay cut to, in his belief, allow others to stay, and todays comment that they would take cuts to stay together, i would have though a couple of years ago they would have done exactly the same ...we didnt have "more" players than anyone else and we didnt really buy a...
