Re: Brian Waldron resigns Matt Hanson new CEO
Brian thanks for your five years at the Storm you have done a wonderful job. Brian always said that he wanted to set up the Storm so it wasn't reliant on one person and he has been able to do that successfully with the on field team, hopefully this is shown off field as well following his departure....

Re: League HQ Report: Mason decide Bellamy's Storm is the side for him
I would hope that we have not signed a 29 year old has been, way past his prime, when we have let go Scott Anderson, Will Chambers, Dallas Johnson and Steve Turner from our premiership side. Mason looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane's baby sister watching a horror movie, jumps at everything coming a...

Re: New Melbourne Super Franchise chases Brett Finch
When Finch originally signed with us I thought, because of our salary cap, he would only be here for 2009 before heading to UK Super League. To have him sign a contract for 2010 is a bonus. Not only is he an asset for 2010 but he will be able to pass on his experience to young halves like Kelly and ...

Yes, good luck to Tony.
I also noticed that the bottom of the article, in the link above, also notes that Willie Mason is set to join the Storm on a 2 year contract.

Re: Storm v Sea Eagles classic match from 99
Kearney was magnificent. I agree re: Ross as well. It is too easy to remember how his career was cut short by injury but he was a wonderful full back in his prime. I loved the comment (from Blocker I think) when Ross scored from Kearney's offload that "he lives in Kearney's pocket". Also t...

Re: 2010 NRL Draw
Surandy, in a selfish way I would prefer no Storm games were on Channel None because at least we know they are live on Fox. Although, based on None's form the Good Friday game will be live because it is in Melbourne (and when TV ratings are down they can say it doesn't rate) and it there is no AFL o...

Re: Team for next year
The Mail understands Melbourne Storm's Ryan Tandy, who helped Rovers survive their first season in Super League, could be another possible target. Tandy joined the Robins in May 2007 and played 12 games as the club fought for survival. Last Sunday, Tandy helped the Storm win their second Grand Fina...

Re: Anthony Watmough for Whom?
I wont be overly impressed if DJ leaves. He is the heart and soul of our team. As for Watmough, Danny Weidler was sprouting this story (aka rubbish) on the Footy Show a couple of months ago. Unless he comes down here on a cut priced deal like Finch, there is no chance we will pick him up. I couldn't...

Re: we signed another player!
is he the one we signed up 2 years ago but he messed up his knee and was out the whole season? No that was Ben, who had played with us in 2004. Luke is Adam and Ben's younger brother. Luke came back from injury mid-season and couldn't get a run from (or a word out of) Brian Smith at the Knights and...

Re: Channel 9 - worst yet
I spoke to programming at Channel None. This is what they said in response to my queries: - Why was Under 20s not on instead of 1953 movie Mogambo? Not commercially viable, better ratings for Mogambo than the Under 20s. I replied by saying the ratings at 2pm on one Sunday afternoon wasn't going to b...

Re: Channel 9 - worst yet
Channel "None" are a disgrace. Not only no presentations after our win but had Mogambo, a 1953 movie starring Ava Gardner and Clark Gable on instead of our Under 20s. Great effort Thunderbolts as well. Thank goodness for Fox Sports. How biased were the None commentators throughout the game...

I did not hear any complaints from Bennett last year when the Storm finished first, lost to the Warriors and then had to play the Broncos at Suncorp.

Re: Was the Ryan Tandy report thrown out ?
Good to see Tandy, not being charged. How good was his first half in particular on Friday night? Got his head through the line a couple of times and drew a couple of penalties. Particularly funny when big George Rose belly flopped on him. I have been a fan of Tandy since seeing him play for Balmain ...

Re: Who do we play in the semi?
Dogs finished second so probably fair enough to be in a tougher group them then.
Still way better than the alternative of playing next week. We have a week off and then play in Melbourne, as opposed to having to win next week and then heading to Sydney for prelim final.
