Re: Is the depth of our squad up to scratch?
The rest of the team, and squad, need to stand up. That's for sure. When the rep players are away the rest need to stand up, and when the rep players are there they must equally stand up. I don't know what happened towards the back end of this season. We just lacked a desire to win. We lacked the en...

Re: SOO vs STORM
I'm with Nacho on this. It is the team's cohesion that suffers most as a result of the origin, not the rep players. Cam, Bill, Coops and Hoffy cannot be blamed for form slump. They didn't have exceptionally poor games attributable to origin fatigue. Our problem is that our rep players, unlike most o...

Re: *ucking Manly into another Grand Final!!
Manly still have 8-9 players on their roster from 2008. Wonder how the owners have managed to keep them at the club all this time. Storm have a big 3.. Manly have a big 6.. Stewart, Stewart, DCE, foran, Watmough, Lyon. Don't forget David Williams and Brent Kite. Player retention seems to be a lot e...

Re: George Rose Signs
Unless he puts in during the off-season and at training he will not play. I'm sure this was discussed and agreed upon before anything was signed.
I reckon Georgie's ready to unleash a new George Rose

Re: Finals Week 2
I think we need to just accept the fact we're likely to lose a couple of games around origin time. I'd suggest the origin stars train continuously with the team during this time but are rested on game day. Similar to how the Broncos used to handle Locky and co. Not having them at training is causing...

Re: The Wheels fell off when..
Upon Gareth Widdop's decision to sign with St.George we should've immediately have promoted Finch to our team. Gaz is great, but a work in progress. Finchy's not got all the polish but he gets the job done. Gaz needed to be played last week to cover for Finchy, but Finch should've played last night....

Re: Finals Week 2
Good on you Matt.
It's almost like the new CEO, David Smith, has been given a mandate to trash the game enough to re-introduce the super league concept, or just make it a NSWRL contest.
Either that or he's a completely incompetent tool.

Re: Finals week one
The NRL is amateur hour. And it needs to pick up its game real quick. This David Smith clown should be sent back to England before he *lima lima lima duck* it beyond repair. Surely we have an Aussie or Kiwi who can lead our game? And I don't mean Todd Greenberg- he's just another shifty bastard who'...

Interesting quote in the Roy Masters piece in the fairfax Media "The last eight times Hayne has refereed Souths, the Rabbitohs won the penalty count seven times (59-38)." Read more: http://www.watoday.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/refs-dont-know-rs-from-their-elbows-20130915-2tswt.html#...

Re: Finals Week 2
If I didn't love rugby league and Storm there is no way I'd support the NRL. Fairdinkum, this David Smith clown in charge of the ARLC is an absolute goose who needs to be sacked before 2014 starts. So many shit decisions, and lack of making a decision. Daniel Anderson as refs boss has been a massive...

Re: Finals Week 2
Before the game I said I'd rather play Newcastle, and I'm very confident of us winning our way to a prelim.
We will need to play very well to beat the Roosters in Sydney.
