Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

Complete sets, limit errors, no cheap penalties. Lots of early kicks and the chasers getting up fast. Make them defend. Zip the ball around when in possession side to side (not counting on that lately). There was a game a year or so ago where we upset them by putting in probably the best defensive g...

Re: Official thread and signing news

I mean I get Dean and possibly Jayden maybe Aaron and maybe even Chris But why Joe and Jack Especially since all have contracts Now I’m pissed off …none of it make sense Is Howarth going to seriously make FG at Storm ? He’d want to lift his intensity and application. I get he’s super young but he’s...

Re: Official thread and signing news

I just can’t get my head around Jack Howarth.

But then when I really think about it, Jack is on decent money, we were chasing Tino / Haas with big offers - did Jack and the club mutually agree to part way months ago?

Re: 1st Semi Final vs Roosters @ AAMI Park

Considering how average we have been, incredible to say we have a prelim next week.

Hats off for scrapping til the end.

My thoughts exactly.

Especially Jack Howarth.

Re: 1st Semi Final vs Roosters @ AAMI Park

Exactly - Welch is captain FFS... as if CB will drop him. If a player was so hopelessly out of form and they just so happened to be a captain does this mean they are untouchable? Agree, it’s this ridiculous attitude in a results based sport that can and probably will be the difference between winni...

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium

The Katoa and King moves look to be really good, value signings. Coates - I can understand why we wanted him, but don’t think we have got him to another level like I think we thought was possible. Outside of that, re-signing the spine has been really expensive and I don’t think we can say any of the...

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium

Depth is nowhere near where it has been in previous years. Naturally we have always lost players. But isn’t it incredible just how many it has been since the 2020 premiership and that play still elsewhere. The next man up mentality takes a hit when players are being introduced to first grade too ear...

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium

Paps is a ball player. He started his career roaming around the ruck and needing to defend in the line. Bellyache would have told him that we want to play Means at full back and Paps would have put his hand up to play whatever role he could for the team. So I hope no one wants to just blame Craig fo...

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium

Today I was describing the Storm season to non league fans. I said they have played pretty crap all year.
Their response was ‘but they finished third didn’t they’.
