Re: Round 3 - Melbourne STORM v Canterbury Bankstown BULLDOG

Referees aside. The team put one hell of an effort in to come away with the win. As I commented earlier in the thread, we held the Dogs off with a great defensive effort that restricted them to playing through the ruck for most of the game. The last 20mins or so we slackened off, mainly due to fatig...

Re: Round 3 - Melbourne STORM v Canterbury Bankstown BULLDOG

The winner will be determined by who controls of the middle of the field. We employ 2 main defensive patterns, a compressed/slide defence (usually when the opposition is in our half) and an up and in pattern (when the opposition is pinned in their half). The emphasis of these patterns are smiliar an...

Re: dugan furgusson

They are merkins of the highest order. I've seen first hand how much of an idiot the both of them can be and because of it I can not stand them. I hope he and Duges have been flicked.

Well he did come through the junior ranks as a fullback. I think he's best suited at five eight but fullback does come natural to him.

Re: Which new recruit/young player are you most excited abou

Kurt Mann!

The kid has star written all over him. Hold really high hopes for him after seeing him train in the off season and play in the trials. If he's fortunate enough to get a game or two in first grade, then I expect to see him flash his potential.

Re: SG Ball/Harold Matthews 2013

Keep an eye out for centre Reuben Rennie, he has enormous talent and is a real strike weapon out wide. He was kept quiet for most of yesterday's match as he hardly received any ball, but when he did he showed beautiful footwork and acceleration to set up 2 tries. He's got a great offload and has the...

Hahahahaha and here's a direct quote from Raiders CEO Don Furner in regards to Billy playing the trial.

''Once again we do the right thing, and I'm not sure the other clubs do.''

The right thing hey Don? Tell me more!

I don't know how to quote twitter but.....

Daily telegraph journalist Andrew Webster just tweeted:

BREAKING: Storm have announced presser tomorrow with Craig Bellamy. I'd suggest it's a contract extension.

Re: Ron Gauci

What a lot of people don't realise is that the ACC will not release names of any specific club or person involved, as they do not wish to jeopardise the case being built against all those involved. The ACC does not have the authority to press charges as they are simply an intelligence gathering orga...

Re: STORM VS RAIDERS TRIAL MATCH

Ouch... I was quietly confident heading into this trial but that is a comprehensive victory to the Raiders. So there seems to be a bit of talk about the edge defence being flimsy, can anyone who saw the game offer some more detail? Who in particular? Mahe Fonua was a major culprit, as was Young Ton...

Re: Ron Gauci

After the events of 2010, the club knows that they can not afford another fiasco. They are not dumb enough to drag the supporters, sponsors etc through another mess. That is why I have no worries about this latest debacle. Besides, I look at it this way. It's one thing to cheat salary cap, but it's ...
