Re: Bai Bai World Cup ?

Maybe it is too late to fiddle about now but perhaps the team that finishes last in Group one, as they are one of the top seeds and all their group matches are likely to be the hardest going, could be written back in. Perhaps they could play the qualifiers of GpB or C ... or  the winners of the Gp B...

Re: Bai Bai World Cup ?

My reading of the format is that the team who finishes last  in Group 1 is out. From my point of view I think well of Australia for taking on the World Cup competition in the first place. I guess that the format chosen is in response to previous experience in RL and other sports World Cups eg cricke...

Re: Challenge Cup round Cardiff

Personally I think it is a great idea. If the game is to spread successfully I rate it's chances better in Wales than other places. This could be a great showcase event. The question being asked is has it been promoted well enough to make it a success? We'll know better by Sunday night. I hope it is...

Re: Bai Bai World Cup ?

The bloke's got a point. The way the groups have been organised is daft. Looking at it from the other countries' point of view you could see why they might feel insulted. Marcus feels PNG have been shown disrespect. Yup. Perhaps somebody feels that unless it is done this way there'll be too many one...

Re: Anyone posting results of Storm v Tits?

Yes I'm hoping as well.
I can't find anything on the match in progress.
I know it is just a trial match but hey, this is a BIG one!

Thanks Buzz, you done good!
The forum looks neat in a rugged sort of way.
The colours work well.
Keep up the good work.

Re: storm to sign chev walker?

In Britain, prison sentences for assault haven't been a barrier to players returning to action. In 2003, Leeds duo Chev Walker and Ryan Bailey, and Rochdale's Paul Owen were jailed after a drunken brawl which left another Leeds player unconscious with a broken jaw outside a Leeds nightclub. All thr...

Re: storm to sign chev walker?

Doesn't look like we are missing anything as the bloke still seems to lack judgement.

In his past he had trouble with the law and now he seems to want to play RU!

No the guy was never for us.
Decent player but poor taste in codes!

Re: I'll betcha PD is heartbroken....

One of Brian Noble's strengths is the way he has loyalty to his  players which has been reciprocated. Wigan will benefit from that if all goes well and it could and should make a big improvement in their results. I wonder if Bradford are making dangerous money-saving decisions. They've now got a blo...

Re: Crowd.

The [glow=red,2,300]quality[/glow] of the crowd is good.
The TV coverage of the R7 match was enhanced by the loud chanting and cheering the Storm fans produced.
That's something we seldom hear on broadcasts of other NRL games up here.

Re: I'll betcha PD is heartbroken....

Tipped but not appointed! Surprise choice was Brian Noble. One surprise was that Wigan asked him. Second surprise was that Bradford seemed to encourage Noble to talk to Wigan. Third surprise was that he accepted. Fourth surprise - Wigan went to Huddersfield and thrashed them on Noble's first match i...

Yes that's the Rovers versus Hull KR!  :D

It could be a good game now that Fev are finding a bit of form.

At least a National League club will get into the next round whatever happens.

Re: Mase NOT going.

Lot of ill feeling between the St Helens and Wigan over Millward so no surprise really that Saints don't want to do Warriors any favours.
