Re: In the 2016 grand final

Behind the goals at ANZ Stadium is awful but the experience of being there more than makes up for it.

My ticket is for S145-2 row 37.
Probably the same end as 2012 - the southern end or to the right when looking at a stadium map or on TV. The opposite end has an extra tier so the NRL will likely give that to the Sharks since they'll have more support.

Re: In the 2016 grand final

Got two out of three things organised - flights and accommodation. Just need a single ticket in the members allocation bays tomorrow and I'm all set. I know that'll be no problem but until I actually have it printed and in my hands I'll likely remain a little nervous. Missing out on that would be a ...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Keep in mind that in 2018 the club is celebrating 20 years. Perhaps keep the current design for 2017 and come out with something a bit more heritage inspired in 2018. Nope. It'll be next year. The ten years was 2007 and that white jersey they wore for the trials in 2012 had "celebrating 15 yea...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

I hope the away jersey design stays the same with ISC, it's easily been one of our best jerseys. The home jersey needs to be purple fullstop. Purple needs to become the dominate colour. It's funny because the club often refers to the "purple jersey", the "men in purple", the &qu...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

I always like to be current and every year there's some kind of change. I collect jerseys anyway so it doesn't really bother me too much. The last time we had the exact same jersey design with the same sponsors (at retail at least) for more than a season was 2011-12. 2013 it changed to that awkward ...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

From today's Herald Sun. Relevant part for us bolded. Collingwood is poised to sign a major new apparel deal for next year and beyond after ending its association with Star Athletic. The company has kitted the Magpies since 2013, when the gear was trumpeted as the first 'purpose-built' AFL range. St...

I don't see anything about purchasing my regular seat, does this mean I can't? Yes, you can purchase your regular seat. Member e-mails going out soon according to @storm. You'll need the barcode number on your membership. Although, saying that I remember some bays being excluded from that last year...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

The quality of Star's gear is good but the design of the off-field gear is fairly unimpressive. I don't expect too much or anything particularly fancy for that stuff but they could have done a lot more.

I hope this is the last year we go with black off-field gear. Navy and purple please.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Kinda defeats the purpose of selling them if they're not going to be the same as the on-field version. I probably would have bought a Nines jersey if it was properly sponsored. If we're going to wear a jersey for Women in League round I'd much rather something more subtle. Why not have it the same a...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

The club store has 20% off all apparel for members this month. That's both Storm and Collingwood (both Star) with heavily discounted gear. Where there's smoke there's fire.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

Only been with Star for one year, would be very unusual for an apparel deal not to last longer than one year. Yeah, it's weird. When I read recently that Collingwood was rumoured to be jumping from Star I was quite surprised considering how integral Collingwood was to the launch of the Star brand. ...
