Re: RD 3 vs Knights

If our forwards can do a job, I reckon Wishart will play really well.

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

Lots of media going around about Munster’s groin injury potentially being a lot more serious than reported. Frank has said that he doesn’t quite know what to make of it, with it appearing all good at times and then a big problem again the next. Still Frank said Rd 5 looks to be the return date. Cam ...

Re: RD 3 vs Knights

Expecting a real ambush from the Knights in this one… They are 0 and 2 Playing at home After dropping their half back and getting unwanted media attention They will be up for a forward dogfight I reckon. With legit question marks still hanging over our pack, missing NAS, Welch and Chan (not to menti...

Sua getting some real bad luck to start the year. Hopefully comes out of it strong and we seen him in the team regularly in the lead up to SOO.

It’s actually hard to imagine the NRL being worse at policing poor behaviours desired in and around the game…

Re: RD 3 vs Knights

Bellamy (these days) rarely shuffles the backline to cover injury/suspension. I expect it will be Wishart in for Hughes and Sua in at 14.

Wishart has surprisingly done a decent job there previously.

Re: Round 2 - Storm vs Warriors @ AAMI Park

I thought the club would plead guilty but contest the grading. I assume there is a reason they didn’t go down that path.

Re: Round 2 - Storm vs Warriors @ AAMI Park

It is very rough for Jahrome to cop a charge because the ref decided to stand in the middle of the play. What is Hughes supposed to do? Let him score untouched and rely on the bunker calling it back? The quality of the bunker calls makes that option not a great one. Not even sure Jahrome knew it was...

Re: Round 2 - Storm vs Warriors @ AAMI Park

The entire point of modern backline plays is to trap our FB close to the ruck on one side of the field, then inject your own fullback on the opposite side to create the overlap. Bellamy, from day dot has had the defensive philosophy to keep the middle tight and if the opposing backline play is good ...

Re: Round 2 - Storm vs Warriors @ AAMI Park

Yep, I was very critical of Loiero last year and the lack of attacking option he presented on an edge. Lock is definitely more suited to his game.

Loiero 155m
Katoa 100m

No other Storm forward made over 90m. That’s (still) a problem…
