Re: News -Three more for Slater
Who is off contract this year? If anyone can provide a complete list of the squad and when they are signed until, that would be great.

Re: Melbourne Storm Squad for 2007
I reckon Aubusson will be 1 to break into our 17 this year probs utility off bench. Yeah agree, I think he will play a role similar to what Friend played last year, and what Cronk did before he took over at halfback from Orford. That's what he should be aiming at anyway, because with Inglis at 6, 5...

Hey Titans, we'll give you Daniel Isaac as compensation for Samau's injury.
Sound fair?

Re: Is anyone else worried about our back rowers
Yeah I made mention of this in another thread. Thompson and Proctor are unlikely to be available much due to their studies, I think. So depth there is a real problem. We do have good depth in our front row stocks, so we might be able to use some of them in the back row instead.

Re: Melbourne Storm Squad for 2007
Good looking squad, and pretty well balanced positionally. If I had to be critical it would be in the back rower department. Crocker and Hoffman are guns, if they can play every game we'll be laughing, but after that there isn't much. Rua has spent 3 years out of the game, Jez has shown glimpses but...

Re: this years 'rough diamond'
Nah Shortland has been around a while and hasn't impressed, won't be him. I reckon Rua will be a lot better than most of the outsiders are predicting, and Folau and Samau sound nothing but super impressive.

I'd love to pick Webster, but at whose expense? Tough luck, Jakey.

Re: The Grand Final 2006 - Melbourne Storm Vs Brisbane Broncos
Dangerous move to go in with 5 prop forwards. Agree. It will be interesting next year when we will likely have 7 excellent props (these 5 plus Donnelly and Anderson) vying for positions. Probably need to turn some of them into back rowers. Good problem to have though. Hopefully we can send off Hill...

Re: Israel Folau?
If we actually manage to hold on to Turner, and the unconfirmed (by the club) rumours about Grose are true, then that changes everything.

Re: Israel Folau?
Franciscus sure did score a lot of tries for Norths this season. Definitely should be looked at as we have very few proven backs signed for next year. Outside of Slater, Geyer, Inglis, King and Quinn we have no one with any experience. Shortland, Samau and Folau might have potential but they have no...

Re: Finals Wk 3: Melbourne Storm Vs (Sea Eagles / Dragons)
Exactly right. I can't believe we have been playing him so often. We are basically helping the Titans develop him by pumping so many games into him. I'd rather play Blair/J.Smith.

Re: Finals Wk 1: Storm Vs Eels
I would play Cross and Blair.
14 - Crocker
15 - Blair
16 - Crossman
17 - Cross
Friend, Webster and Smith are so unlucky.

Re: Storm all time Player Roster
Ryan Gundry is a name missing from there. He was with us in 1998.
Anthony Bonus is the only name I didn't recognise there. Never heard of him, he didn't play with us, did he?
