Re: Round 5 Rabbitohs v Storm

Really need to take advantage of the fact Souths are down Arrow, Tatola and Mitchell for this one. Conditions here are also good for going a bit more expansive if the guys can keep their discipline with their handling. It’d be good to get a win in the bank here ahead of a clash with the Roosters who...

I think he might too.

Bellamy’s a big fan and I’m not sure when Papenhuyzen comes back that they’ll want him to have the added pressure of goal-kicking.

Re: Round 4 Storm v Tigers at AAMI Park

Feels like the guys were a bit down on confidence going into that one and the message was to hold onto possession and tackle well. I think that got through - particularly in the second-half when the lead was fairly comfortable. Loiero’s had his critics but he was good last night. If he can just remo...

Re: Round 4 Storm v Tigers at AAMI Park

Well, after last night, I don't feel so bad about our start to the season. Penrith, the deadset locks for a threepeat (if you listen to the media) now share the same w-l ratio as Melbourne. Does it excuse some very ordinary defensive efforts by the storm? No. But it does show that teams are definit...

Re: Storm @ Gold Coast Titans Cbus Super Stadium, 3.00pm AEDT

Giving Hughes a grade 2 is a nasty decision. It wasn't late and you can argue shoulder charge because he didn't wrap his arms but it was more of a body collision. We should fight it imo. So if Hughes is out for a week (and I really don't think he'll get less) makes me think Munster will be back nex...

Re: Storm @ Gold Coast Titans Cbus Super Stadium, 3.00pm AEDT

Pretty horrific showing. Just guilty of so many horrible mistakes. The two which really took the cake were the Hughes turnover which led to the Schoupp try and the Katoa off-load which Vuna scooped up and scored. Just bad game awareness and a lack of attention to detail. Annoyingly - the talent is a...

How good is the Pezet and Hughes combination? They're causing so many problems.

His defence is terrible. He just can't read what's in front of him.

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

Might be getting some troops back?

Could be wrong but Coates, Kamikamica and Sims should be right to play this week.

Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium

The half-time adjustments were excellent. Clearly the directive was to focus on tightening up and going through the middle. I think Grant might’ve copped a spray too because his involvement after half-time was huge. King looks awesome. Ditto Meaney. Loved how involved Munster and Hughes were too - o...

Agreed, the only way it pays off is if we suffer an injury to an outside back or half and then either way we are toast.
Plan has to be to play Garlick as a back-rower and potentially use MacDonald as a middle along with Grant.

Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium

Feeling the Storm might just edge this one. The Eels have been really effective at coffin kicking our guys to death but I’m a fan of the two wingers and their ability in the air. Have to hope the weather holds up though (bit overcast and damp in Sydney today) because with Welch and NAS starting I th...

Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium

I doubt Sims plays without the match fitness. Best guess is the team looks somewhat like this: Nick Meaney, Will Warbrick, Reimis Smith, Young Tonumaipea, Xavier Coates, Cameron Munster, Jahrome Hughes, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Harry Grant, Christian Welch (c), Elisea Katoa, Trent Loiero, Josh King. B...
