Re: Venga Bus - Expressions of Interest

Some 11 years ago, there was a party bus trip to a Gosford game. Now looking for any interested to head to the Bulldogs game in Adelaide around June 22. Bus, party, hotel and game ticket. Depends on numbers and if the game is on a Saturday. Already have one volunteer bus driver, but a second licens...

Re: USA Trip

We actually ran into Bellamy in New York last year. On the way to an NFL match between the NY Jets and San Diego and who should be in the same packed train carriage, got his attention with a wave of a phone which prominently featured Storm pictures. Later found out Hoffy was at the same game from re...

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/nrl/the-biggest-premiership-favourite-in-years/story-fnca0von-1226322324288 Yes sometimes bookmakers get things dead wrong (like when they paid out minor premiership on St George last year  ) but I dare say the comparison with 2007 backs up the fundamental ...

Re: Game-day banners

For anyone who may not get the humour in Freshy's suggestion especially given the next opponents, this was a t-shirt released in 2008, controversial then, now it's just cringeworthy. Especially when you have a team from Melbourne with nearly twice as many first grade players that have developed thro...

Re: Best recruits from other clubs

Was Steve Turner was an oversight? It's quite an amazing list really that aside from Crocker, Orford and Finch hardly any of the names were notable signatures, most of them just went to Melboune due to lack of opportunity elsewhere. I wish, however wrong on all accounts.
The test match is the week after as a stand alone match, and even in years gone by players have backed up for club games.

Not boring just well drilled, on and off the field.
While everyone knows their role on the field they also know all the standard media cliches and expected replies.

Me too, Dogs look better with Romelo at dummy half ;)
Case in point Lawrence's try for the Titans on Sunday.

And playing from Lebanon wouldn't rule Farah out of Origin but his form and his club's form will.

Re: Storm Fans' Team of 1st 15 Years

Lol oops, my memory of that game is only the hotly desputed (by merge fans, out was however a dog shot) penalty try Perhaps your memory of him is clouded by the year at the Eagles or the vast majority of his career with the Sharks but I can clearly recall when he celebrated his final season and mat...

He won a Clive Churchill Medal in 1999.

gus for pm anyone? Gus for NRL CEO at least! I found this part particularly interesting: "No one else in the game is going to speak out against Gallop and demand his sacking because they know they too would be vilified for daring to criticise their man. This is the environment that has existed...

Why not? They have been doing just that for the Warriors and Gold Coast over in the past decade.

Melbourne is such a nicer city than Adelaide too. LOL

Re: Adelaide game

Anybody understand why this game is being played in a city that has no interest in rugby league and will never have a team in the future? I wouldn't be so sure of that. The Bulldogs obviously think there is a market in Adelaide, they're selling specific South Australian memberships and they are pla...
