Re: Round 4 Storm v Tigers at AAMI Park

Also, and I’m not sure this is a fair criticism or observation, but the defence on the right side seemed to be better with Pezet there. I’m wondering if the issue isn’t so much the winger compressing but more so the compression with the half (or sometimes the fullback) not being able to cover if th...

Re: Storm @ Gold Coast Titans Cbus Super Stadium, 3.00pm AEDT

Giving Hughes a grade 2 is a nasty decision. It wasn't late and you can argue shoulder charge because he didn't wrap his arms but it was more of a body collision. We should fight it imo. So if Hughes is out for a week (and I really don't think he'll get less) makes me think Munster will be back nex...

Re: Storm @ Gold Coast Titans Cbus Super Stadium, 3.00pm AEDT

There seems to be no one at the moment who can calm the team down through the crisis moments. C Smith was the master of that.

Re: Round 2 v Bulldogs at AAMI Park

They say players should retire before going 1 year too long …it’s possible Bellamy might have hit that point No way. That’s on the players. Fkn soft and lazy. If you can’t get up to play like a maniac for the best NRL coach of the last 18 years…then *lima lima lima duck* off out of the NRL. With re...

As we have lost NAS for a while, I think you're right with that. I'm guessing Tui might be the most likely.

Re: Round 2 v Bulldogs at AAMI Park

Strong feeling that that'll be different by Saturday. I'm guessing Wishart replaced by Pezet, goes back to the bench and Coates is still under a cloud with anderson or Bradley as a replacement. with J Grant being dropped.

Re: Storm Vs Eels Commbank stadium

Kenny was the only one I was actually sad about losing. Jesse and Fus are past their best and Brandon's attitude was simply untenable in the end. 100% agree I thought it was interesting that Smith was at the game taking selfies with Welch. I'd always thought he was more focussed on playing with his...

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

If six-eight weeks seems ambitious, you'd have to wonder when he will get back to the level he was before. Taking into account match fitness and regaining confidence in himself and the team, I could see a twelve week return date. https://www.zerotackle.com/ryan-papenhuyzen-reveals-round-6-8-return-a...

Re: Official thread and signing news

There's an article in the Telegraph (behind a paywall) about how we are rebuilding and have 12 quality players stockpiled.

It's headlined "Inside the secret mission to rebuild NRL powerhouse" (BTW it must not be very secret if it's in the DT)

Does anyone have any more information?

Re: Official thread and signing news

If it is Bellamy's last year I assume it'll be Mooks taking over. I'm actually thinking that Marc Brentnall is the most likely. I personally think of Kearney as a mini cab and not a coach. Billy has said no to the possibility due to his other commitments and haven't seen anything about Hinchy even ...

It may be interesting if they give Smith microphone time at the awards night.
