Re: 2011 Official Thread + Signing news
Blake Leary has signed with the cowboys. http://www.cowboys.com.au/default.aspx?s=article-display&id=28983&title=cowboys-signings-boost-2011-roster I am a fan of Leary, shame to see him go, will follow his progress. Dragon Ricky Thorby has been mentioned on this site at some stage as a pote...

Re: STARS WE HAVE SIGNED 1998-PRESENT
was Steve Bell a star? we got him as a QLD rep Steve Bell wasn't a star when we picked him up. He made his NRL debut for the Storm v Bulldogs in 2001 at Colonial (aka Telstra Dome and now Etihad). Eagle sounds like you are mentioning the stars you have signed from us Bell, Kimmorley and Orford

Re: STARS WE HAVE SIGNED 1998-PRESENT
Orford had played 11 games with the Northern Eagles before he joined the Storm. I am not quite sure how that constitutes us signing a star.

Whitey thanks for your 120-odd games with the Storm, good luck at the Raiders.

Re: Melbourne Vs Manly
I was surprised both Kite and Nielsen didn't play last night, how could you drop Kite after his game last week. I assume O'Neill was out due to injury. I still haven't seen a hell of a lot in Isa in his 4 games for the Storm. Blair rushing up out of the line set up Manly's first break and 51 missed ...

Re: I Know you all hate him but you gotta admit HAYNE is the BEST!
NSW has a terrible coach because they have lost 5 series in a row. They have had two coaches over that time. The main reason NSW is losing because their cattle including Hayne are cr@p. If Hayne was so good he would be able to produce something to lift his team. What about for Australia? Your answer...

Re: 2011 Official Thread + Signing news
The Paulos and Kennedy do show promise but I suggested Gower or Sweeney because I think we may need a couple of mature forwards who can play straight away a la Tandy and Norre the last couple of years just in case the young promising forwards such as Bromwich, Kite, Vea etc don't step up as quickly ...

Re: I Know you all hate him but you gotta admit HAYNE is the BEST!
So everyone (ie Parra fans and Sydney media) are basing their opinion on Jarryd Hayne being the best on 6 or 7 great games at the end of last year and 2 or 3 good games prior to the weekend. How can he be the best when he has done virtually nothing in Origin or for Australia? He also did nothing in ...

I would prefer we pick up David Gower from Balmain Ryde Tigers or Aaron Sweeney from Windsor Wolves.

Re: How exciting does Sione Kite look !!!!
As I said in another topic/thread, I have been hanging out for Sione to play first grade and he didn't let me down. A bit of a dilemma for the selectors this week with both Norrie and White due back. Norrie has been our best / most consistent forward all year, so he will come back into the side and ...

You wouldn't expect much else from Freddy, he does work with the network that provides us with such great coverage (Channel None).

Re: Plane Crashes killing 16
The Eagle this topic is gold. I was at the Wallabies v All blacks clash and when I saw the Eels result on my phone I thought about posting plane / train crash kills 17 (was going to include Hayne as part of death toll). I guess you beat me to the punch. I am not sure if he is a train or plane anymor...

Re: O'Neill and Norrie re-sign for 2 years
Woo hoo, great news. I did say when we first signed Norrie that he would be as solid as our other 60 game recruit Luke MacDougall. He has been far better. Norrie was always going to stay because we saved his NRL career. Norrie just puts his hand up and keeps asking for work. Great to see O'Neill sta...
