Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
He did play well, but can you leave Hughes out next week to accomodate him? Tough callblazza18 wrote:Crofty was good too outside of that one weird pass that went nowhere. He's better when he runs the ball.

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
Not overly happy with that win, don’t think we really deserved it, we were poor all over the park but I guess the silver lining is the good teams can win when they play bad, next week we probably welcome back Slater, Addo-Carr, Chambers, Munster, Kaufusi, Finucane and J.Brom will also start, that’s ...

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
That’s a pretty important part of rugby league, if we also the same in the 2nd half we might be a chance.bula wrote:All they're doing is running hard and getting quick play-the-balls. Jesse coming on has improved things though

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
Putrid effort, I think we should all be ECSTATIC that we are only down by 7, awful handling, retreating defence, half hearted tackling, no energy, no direction, no leadership, yes we have some cattle out but that’s not where the problem lies, there was a play there in th last 5 minutes that sums us ...

Smith/Slater/Cronk Story
So this was posted by Danny Weidler today ... It was a public blow-up between husband and wife that happened in front of teammates, the media and those baking in the hot Fiji sun at the Kangaroos’ swanky resort last year during the World Cup. Barb Smith ripped into Cameron. I was within earshot and ...

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
I’m expecting to see this team run out against the filthy silvertails: 1. Slater 2. Vunivalu 3. Chambers 4. Scott 5. Addo-Carr 6. Munster 7. Hughes 8. Asofa-Solomona 9. Smith (c) 10. Glasby 11. Kaufusi 12. Hoffman 13. Finucane 14. B.Smith 15. Bromwich 16. Welch 17. Vete Croft, Jacks & Blair all ...

I agree Vete was great, can pop a nice offload too and has some ticker, nice debut.
I can’t believe I’m typing this, but can Hughes hold Slater out of the #1 jersey, this kid is incredible ...

Re: Round 17 v Dragons
I don’t know about anyone else but this is the most entertaining game I’ve seen in a long time!! Great showing from both young squads, hope they keep it up!! Don’t mind if we lose playing this way having a decent crack but fingers crossed we can finish on top!!

Re: Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos
Surely Hughes can’t be dropped, he plays in the halves in the QLD Cup and carves up every week!! Plus we all know Smith is our play caller, when he plays well we don’t need a traditional halfback. As for Chambers on the wing it will limit the fundamental mistakes in his game and he has the pace to m...

Re: Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos
Interesting to see how we line up next week with Slater, Scott, Chambers and possibly Finucane all back, losing Jesse is a big loss and there is a chance Vunivalu will get rubbed out by the MRC, if that’s the case I would like to see this team run out against the Knights: 1. Slater 2. Chambers 3. Sc...

Re: Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos
Tough win, looked ominous falling behind early 12-2 but really happy with the fight shown, I thought Kaufusi was best on ground and to back that up after Origin was amazing for a guy who had no engine a few years ago, so glad we got him to re-sign. Smith and Munster pulled the strings fantastically ...

Re: Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos
We miss the 2nd least amount of tackles in the comp doofus. So you think our 3 boys missing 25 tackles last night isn’t concerning? Yes that's literally what you can take away from my post. If you think 3 players missing 25 tackles in rugby league is ok then you need to learn the fundamentals of th...

Re: Round 14 - Storm vs Broncos
And to put that in perspective our entire 17 missed only 22 tackles in the 24-4 LOSS to Manly a few weeks back, 25 for 3 players is astronomical and almost unheard of anywhere in the comp no less the Storm
