Under 20's Squad for 2009

Anyone have access to details of the under 20's squad for next year. From what I can see Aidan Guerra, Lucas Miller, Louis Fanene, Sam Joe, Kevin Proctor, Jospeh Tomane and Luke Kelly are all training with Storm so should play if not selected in the top team. We have signed Kenny Edwards (Manly), Sl...

Re: Storm under World Cup scrutiny

A big difference between putting off surgery and being in a fit state to play with that injury.  From what I have read on both White and Lima the injuries if treated now will both mean they are right to play early next year but with the injuries they would not be able to play even if these were put ...

Re: Stuart should look in his own back yard, Bellamy says

Ricky Stuart leves a bitter taste in my mouth! He continually supports GRUBS like Gallen, Bird, Nutley and Ross yet has the nerve/ordasity to have a go at the Storm! Pricks like that make me sick - They stink of hypocrisy, nepotism and sour grapes! PATHETIC! Couldn't agree more.  This is all about ...

Re: Storm in trouble as players continue to say no

Taumata, Purtell, Costigan, Newton and even Campese all rejected offers from the Storm. This has to be a worry now that we can't attract anyone to come down? It can't be a money issue cause look at the players we have lossed for next season and the one player we have gained. In fact reports say tha...

Re: Jeremy Smith

I know I probably won't win too many friends over this, but we are seeing a rapid dismantling of a great side in Melbourne Storm. Can anyone give me a valid reason as to why Jeremy Smith was allowed to walk? I mean, with King, Aubusson, Newton, Cross, Tagataese, Folau and Kaufusi gone or going, how...

Re: Signings (rest of 08-09)

Found this snippet in amongst a lot of New Zealand news.  Confirms that Liam Foran has not yet signed and his comments indicate he may stay at the Storm if the player positional moves would give him a shot at the number 6. But Foran says he hasn't given up playing No 6 for the Storm. "I'm happy...

Brian Waldron on the move???

Craig Hutchinson in the Sunday Herald Sun is reporting that the Melbourne AFL Chief Executive position has been narrowed down to two - Hawthorn chief operating officer Terry Dillion and Melbourne Storm chief Brian Waldron.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out as I'm a big fan of Waldron.

Re: Young Player Signings?

From the Central Coast Match Report: Perhaps the only real highlight for me was the form of our youngest player, 17-year-old Grant Nelson. Grant is a local junior (from The Entrance Tigers) and is a graduate of our SG Ball Junior Representative Team from the last two seasons. Out of the Billy Slater...

Re: Young Player Signings?

Ben Hampton (Half Back) also seems to be coming on nicely.  Made the QLD Under 16 SOO Team. Whilst waiting in the wings is former Mareeba junior and Eacham rep player Ben Hampton who has represented Queensland in the under 13’s and 14’s merit sides and this year in the inaugural under 16’s State of ...

Re: Young Player Signings?

Maipele Morseau is one I know of. Was signed as a half-back and should 16 this year. Older brother George plays for the Knights. Goes to St. Brendans College in Yepoon. I think Brad Arthurs from there so he might know something about him. St Brendan's were rewarded with four players named in the Qu...

Young Player Signings?

Just read an article in one of the NZ papers that Peter O'Sullivan (Roosters) has enticed an up and coming player away from NZ supposedly from under the watch of the Warriors that has caused some heartache with Warriors fans.  In the years that he was at the Storm, he seemed to be able to get a  lar...

Re: Signings (rest of 08-09)

Looks like Liam Foran is intending to move on as well. JUNIOR Kiwis halfback Liam Foran has called on the Warriors to end their search for a playmaker by signing him. The 20-year-old comes off contract with the Storm at the end of this season and has been frustrated at playing second fiddle to star ...

Need a haircut?

Went into a barber called the Shearing Shed in Coleman Parade, Glen Waverley (in Melbourne for the interstaters) on the weekend for a haircut.  The store is set out with a huge amount of sporting memorabilia with the most prominent being a very large focus on the Storm.  The owner was decked out in ...
