Re: Storm v Titans Official Game Thread

All I can say about Quinn is thank you for crossing the line as first try scorer for me - I have had loads of collects off Quinn over the years. Apart from his try, he had a shocker (along with Proctor). Despite the win, I'm sure Bellamy wouldn't be all that pleased. [ Post made via iPad ] http://ww...

Re: The run home...

Just Great - Round 25 - potentially 1 vs 2 in the NRL and down here in Melbourne we will get to watch it on Channel 9 at midnight. I really hate away games scheduled for Friday nights - I was glad that for so long we didn't get a Friday night game. Bugger bugger bugger :( I hope we only get home fin...

Re: storm vs eels offical game thread.

I just heard on Fox sports News that the flu has spread through the team with several players missing several training sessions this week. They did say that the whole team was expected to fly to Sydney. Bellamy sounded terrible! I hope the extra long turn around from last week allows them time to ge...

Re: Greg Inglis and Luke Lewis to storm

Did anyone see the Rabbitohs/Warriors game yesterday? Greg Inglis looked slow trying to chase down the Warriors No. 7 when he took an awesome intercept and ran like lightening! Inglis really looked like he was struggling......

Great win! I can't wait for next week's home game - it feels like FOREVER since our last home game. Bring on the Broncos.

Re: TV audience ratings for Storm v Rabbitohs

It was mentioned on the Storm hour on SEN radio last night that the Storm v Tigers game in a couple of weeks (19/06/2011) should also be televised live into Melbourne. More live games in one season that we have seen over the last 5 years! I am very grateful to be able to watch the away games live. T...

Re: 2011 Memberships

I think the Quad pass is a good way for potential members to 'test the water' so to speak. Back in 2003, I signed up with a 6 game membership - I ended going to all 12 home games anyway and have been a full member ever since. I had been to a couple of casual games prior to that but did not want to c...

Re: Round 13 Official Team

Did we ever confirm exactly how to pronounce 'Waqa'? On the Storm hour on SEN last night they referred to him as 'Wacker' (which is how I have been screaming it at AAMI Park) - but the commentators on Fox last Sunday kept calling him 'Wanga' (which kept making me giggle in a stupid childish way in w...

Re: Sandor Earl to the Storm in 2012?

Wow - he sure loves getting his clothes off in front of the camera! I just did a google images search for Sandor Earl and nearly the whole first page consisted of him nearly naked! As a woman who enjoys watching rugby league and all it has to offer visually, I was not disappointed (not a huge...

Re: What's with the small crowds?

My first introduction to Storm was watching Sunday afternoon games on the ABC - that inspired me to go to a 'live' game and the rest is history.

Re: What's with the small crowds?

One thing I have noticed is that we are not getting as much coverage in the print media - ie. newspapers. A couple of years ago, I used to buy the Herald Sun every Friday - it would have pretty good coverage - 2 pages, colour with the team lists and a preview of the weekend's game. Same again on the...

Re: Great win (much needed win) ...but poor crowd

I'm not looking forward to the big SIX WEEKS between home games between Round 14 and Round 20. 2 away games (Tigers and Warriors) followed by the Bye 2 more away games (Bulldogs and Raiders) That is going to feel like FOREVER between AAMI Park visits. By the time Round 21 (the Broncos) comes around ...

Re: Yahoo!!!!

I've seen that purple top hat!! We sit not far from you - my husband wears the only purple and yellow dreadlock hat (I know it is the only one because I made it!!). We sit down the same corner - up a few rows. I might just have to drop by and say hello next home game.
