Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

So after all that speculation of a potentially new sponsor, we get Crown again...well sort of. Anyways, the term anti-climactic could best describe this situation. I'm glad we got it sorted eventually but my goodness why all the secrecy? Finally here is an exclusive look at the 2014 Storm Jersey htt...

Channel 9 just did a cross to the launch and interviewed Cooper.
Very little in advertising our (existing & potential) sponsors so the waiting game continues.....

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

In the next week???
So does that mean we will either go cleanskin or twittered for Round 1. Hope im wrong. Want to see the full jersey at the Crown launch.
Noticed the Bank of Melb have a new campaign at the moment. Just wondering if the rumours will come to fruition.

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

I'm afraid that dreadful Twitter thing will be on our jersey as we run out onto Brookvale Oval :(

Of course I will gladly retract if the Storm pulls a rabbit out of the hat. Season launch is scheduled this Thursday right?

Not bad. A mixture of season preview and light entertainment. Saw the Raiders one and Dragons one featuring ex-Storm Gareth Widdop

Poor kid. One of our most athletic but injury prone player. Really looked good in the trial.

Re: Storm partner with Manchester City

Etihad aye..interesting. That's what I was thinking about. This might also explains why there is a delay in the announcement of the major sponsor. IMHO, we will go down either two roads: 1) Bank of Melbourne will be our major sponsor. They will also be the major sponsor of the re-branded Melbourne ...

As BrisbaneStorm mentioned, the Twitter box will not be on the retail version. Looks like a much nicer jersey :-D

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

Just thinking if the BOM isn't our major sponsor for 2014, the other organisations I can think of who could be our major sponsors: 1) Shell Rimula. Noticed their names flashed on the LED Signage last season 2) Etihad Airways. This is a real long shot but as previously mentioned, with the consortium'...

Re: New 9s Shirt and World 1st Sponsor

Nice jersey but seriously a Twitter handle? We could have gone with a Charity and the Twitter handle below it. A bit of a let down, I thought Major Sponsor would have been announced but I guess they are still in negotiations. I hope the new jersey will be available by the time the family day/ Canber...

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

Definitely missed the boat for Christmas sales on a new jersey. You'd think these type of negotiations were well in placed during the season? Anyway, I did see this on the Stormshop website. Looks promising.... Melbourne Storm is currently in the final stages of negotiations to secure a major partne...

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

If it's the last season BLK will be our supplier, I do hope we are able to attract a large, well known international supplier. Not a big fan of ISC jersey with those dots or Blades either. Hopefully the likes of Nike, Adidas, Puma, CCC or even UA would be really good. I hope the commercial departmen...

Re: Storm backed by Tigerair

I did noticed Shell Rimula being flashed on our LED Advertising boards during the season. Wondering if they will step up to become major sponsors?
Or maybe Orica Green Edge with Gerry back on board? I have a feeling with our new owners business acumen they will get a high profile sponsor on board.

Re: We let it slip

I think it was a blessing in disguise we didn't win against the Knights. Seeing the Roosters demolish the Knights on Saturday, I can't imagine how much we would have been dismantled against the red hot Roosters. I would even say we would've got a bigger hiding than 40-0. Luckily this never happened ...
