Re: I'd like to see this squad versus the Tits
Meant to also include Kaufusi in those likely to miss the trail although i believe he is not far away so might even be a chance. At this stage would rest any player that is a little underdone.

Re: I'd like to see this squad versus the Tits
Strong looking squad. Pretty sure I read that Hoffman will not be right for the first trial. Crocker, Blair and White to also miss and maybe King depending on how he gets through the week. Put Tagatese into the number 12. Also, I believe that they can run with an extended bench so add in J. Smith ...

Players under Storm control for 2007
Brian Waldron was on SEN on Sunday morning mainly to talk about the chances of his horse (Mentality) in the upcoming Newmarket. The last bit of the interview got around to the Storm and one of the comments was that Storm have 70 players on the books for 2007 ranging in age from 14 to Matt Geyer. B...

Re: Steve Turner stays with Storm
This was at the bottom of the article on Storm pulling out from the racefor Lote; Also on the Gold Coast yesterday, the final chapter of the long-running Turner feud came to an end, with youngsters Daniel Isaac and Smith Samau agreeing to terms with the Titans. The duo was offered as part of a trade...

Re: Is anyone else worried about our back rowers
With the salary cap in place and the quality on our list it is becoming harder and harder to go and stock pile quality players in any position. We have two of the best back rowers in Crock and Hoffman but they may miss the start of the year due to injury. The choice of Back Rowers will come fr...

Re: Steve Turner stays with Storm
hopefully Turner is the one covering the 50, 85, or 100K (depending on which article you read), Waldron said on SEN that the full amount ($85K) was being paid by Steve and that the Storm will not be paying any financial compensation. Reinforced that both players that were traded had requested the ...

Re: Melbourne Storm Squad for 2007
Matt also filled in at hooker and five-eighth during 2006 and will look to continue that role in 2007 . Bellamy said on SEN; 5/8th options - Russell Aitken training well and is in the mix. Keen to give Greg Inglis a shot there to really get him into the play. Thinks he now has the body developmen...

Re: Insight into rising Storm stars: Proctor; Israel Falau; Liam Foran and others
The six players that are tied to the Storm are Israel Folau, Jay Ashton, Liam Foran, Joel Thompson, Aidan Tolman and Kevin Proctor. Luke Capewell played with Norths last year but elected to sign with South Sydney. In the player comments they have Kevin Proctor listed as being signed by the Titans....

Re: Steve Turner stays with Storm
The final result is that we get Turner but lose Smith Samau and Daniel Issac plus $85K (the final figure is a little bit more cash than the $50K mentioned in discussion). I can live with that. I've been told that Smith is happy to go as with Turner staying and most of the other backline positions ...

Re: News -Searle slams Storm in Turner saga
At some point the NRL is going to have to step in and demand that the Titans start paying Turner under the terms of the supposed contract agreement. It is not up to Melbourne to work out a deal to appease the Titan, it is up to the Titans and Steve Turner to work out an arrangement. Melbourne don'...

Re: NRL backs Turner deal
Spoke to a mate of mine who has a fair bit to do with junior player development. In his eyes, Melbourne have three of the best developing players in the country - Israel Falou, Joel Thompson and Kevin Protector. He is also a wrap for Liam Foran but doesn't think he is at the level of the other thr...
