Re: Storm under World Cup scrutiny
Wow, I'm shocked.....I thought they would have been calling for them to be charged by the judicary and suspended for the first 3 months of next year for bringing the game into disrepute by being injured.....or are we just going to fined by the NRL because they require surgery ? ? ? ? ?

Re: Now we are being sued
Well, letv me get this right, normally when a team has an extremely bad off field week (exception of the Bulldogs) they pull off a brilliant match to finish the weekend...maybe this is a coaching tactic.   Seriously, to me it was more implying the corruptness of the NRL ...

Re: Now we are being sued
The interesting thing in that,"The former New Zealand and MANLY star" How on earth can the NRL seriously put a former Manly star on the judicary panel when it was more than likely that Manly and Melbourne would be meeting in the Grand Final. Just the implication of his former association ...

"Minor Premiership - 100,000
Honesty - 50,000
The look of horror on the NRL's face when we take out the comp - Priceless
**** THE NRL"
And if you make that shirt up, I'm in for sure!

Re: Stuart coach of the Kangeroos?????????????/
I can no longer support the Australian Rugby League team for numerous reasons. Can anyone please post the words to the New Zealand National Anthem to aid my support of the Kiwi's? I'm going to start searching for it now, but just incase aI can't find it. Of course, I would think it disrespectful to ...

Channel 9 Melbourne would rather throw a sitcom rerun on TV instead!mrpc wrote: Channel Nine did not own the product in 1909. TV was still 47 years away in Australia. Nine wants its ratings for the NRL, not a rerun of some sitcom. Nine would make Gallop fold faster than Superman on laundry day.

Re: Storm fined $50,000 by the NRL
What would stop us from announcing 15 minutes before kickoff on Sunday that we're not taking the field until Gallop rescinds the fine, apologizes, reinstates Cam, and resigns from the NRL? The NRL would love that. They'd have an excuse to hand the trophy to a Sydney team. They wouldn't give a flyi...

Re: Storm fined $50,000 by the NRL
Personally, I'd have said that we were rather polite compared to what should have been said. Gallop should have thanked Craig for going easy on them.   My question is this though, I thought that there were regulations saying a club faces a maximum $10,000 fine for bringin...

Re: Storm vs Broncos in the Semi Final
But wasn't the try from a forward pass? Watching on TV it looked to travel at least a metre forward. Also, besides Tony Archer who will be the referee next week? I believe that was one of the many ****-ups that were made by the officials. about 1-2 metres forward, the one right in front of the pos...

1 thing I forgot.
Shayne Hayne single handedly refereed Tony Archer into the NRL Grand Final.

Re: Storm vs Broncos in the Semi Final
To me, it seemed as though the Brisbane Broncos and NRL tried to bend us over and do us like a (alleged) Brisbane Broncos nightclub victim. THE GOOD (Melbourne) The character the players showed was outstanding. Can't mention everyone, so I'll put down the most impressive parts of character that was ...

And I must say, some of the SS happen to have a great time when they have a little drink, especially up at Newcastle before the renovations when there was not the alcohol free section there on that grassed hill that went along the eastern side cough...2002, Luke horizontal dancing and cheering we wa...

Re: knights v storm
As for the walk from the Train Station, it isn't really that far, and I do not believe that it's an alcohol free area. Some parts of it is, but up in Newcastle, they realise how much money they can make from the alocholics that turn up to their games there, so don't put much Alcohol free space in! ...
