Re: Official thread and signing news

Am I reading the Storm's announcement correctly? Seems based on Branson's comments on that podfart that they are like 'You dont fit, we arent really going to pursue a contract extension with you, go where you want' Edit: Ignore me, i misunderstood. Brendan Smurf has provided written notice that he's...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Wouldn't be surprised if Roosters had offered him some kind of incentive to piss off the club to get an early release. Surely a paper bag payment is not a breach of the cap if he is not yet signed?

Re: Sunshine Coast Lightning

Hopefully not, seeing how this is a league forum Well, technically it's a Melbourne Storm fans forum. Since the Storm controls the Lightning (see what I did there) I can't see why they shouldn't have their own bit of space. Good point, well hopefully a site mod or administrator (See what I did ther...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Felise's time has come but agreed its important to acknowledge how reliable he has been and his development. the crop of backrowers across the league has caught up to him. Good list decision not fighting to keep him.

Not exactly wrestling but Foxsports have started the hatchet job on us earlier than usual. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/the-first-cracks-have-appeared-in-the-storm-juggernaut-and-they-could-be-about-to-widen/news-story/4b04f3c2a1d029c3db037562616272c6 Tom must be new to league. ...

Could very well be.
I really hope he gets a run. His 20s highlights look great, but I do note he's listed in 20s as 106kg now he is 125kg, I wonder what that's done to his pace and agility.

Re: Official thread and signing news

Apparently Hughes has rejected his option for 2024. Interesting move so far in advance but of course will be a lucrative exercise for him no matter where he goes. The dolphins should throw the kitty at him, not a superstar name but a player you can build a club around.

But... I hope he stays!

Re: Official thread and signing news

If we get Warbrick all of a sudden we have game breakers on both wings. Wow. We would be spoilt once again with attacking beasts, although this time we are not only limited to left edge attack, our right edge would be diabolical

Surely storm is relocated again for 2022 due to the differing state laws. If so, hopefully a non issue.

Re: End of year celebrations - to be investigated

Seeing Munny get choked up was difficult to be honest. Outsiders will lay the boot in, but we've seen him start at the club assisting the memberships team (albeit badly) as a kid and is still growing up. Damn the spotlight sucks. Hopefully he comes out stronger than ever before, for more than just f...

Re: End of year celebrations - to be investigated

$100k suspended fine on Munny is bloody harsh. If he stays off the booze he will be fine but the guy is having his first kid soon. Any celebratory drinks are fair play.
