Re: GF tickets
yeah, I gave that a shot, but the only seats in the melb area now is behind the goalposts, a long way back. If you're behind the goalposts, way back is better than down low. At least you see something. Anyway, you shouldn't have to request storm area. If they put you in an Eels bay, and there ar...

Re: GF tickets
I ended up with tickets in the Eels section using a storm code as well...and looking at other forums it looks like Parra fans have landed tickets in the Storm section. Well done Ticketek. Oh well, looks like I won't be the only purple in a sea of blue and yellow... Definitely call them and get the...

Re: GF tickets
The Ticketek Website kept trying to sell me tickets in the Eels bays, despite entering a Storm ID code, even after I put my old Melbourne address into my "My Ticketek" profile on the website. Useless pricks. Can't run a website, can't run major events. I kept attack dialing their call ce...

Re: Grand Final Week Schedule of events
Presumably that's the welcome home event, conditional on us winning of course.glennb wrote: It says on this information that the fan day on the Monday after the grand final is at Olympic Park. Would this be right? The Melbourne Storm website does sometimes post the wrong information.

Re: Who's going to Sydney and how ???
After that disgraceful episode of Four Corners last monday, I'm considering throwing a mattress into the back of my Festiva. There are folks who do that every night of the year, so I can manage doing it once if I can't make it back to Queanbeyan before I'm too tired to drive.

Re: Who's going to Sydney and how ???
Countrylink is a possibility. There are two daily trains in both directions. The overnight service back to Melbourne leaves Strathfield at 8:51pm. The Grand Final is 5pm so it'll be finished around 7pm, and even with the 10 minute hike from the stadium to its station, you'll still have 90 minutes...

Re: Possible Grand Final - Storm vs. Eels
Orrite. I'll be hitting up ticketek at 9am Monday.
Does anyone know whether you can buy a family ticket (2A2C) with one storm membership? Is it a one ticket per member rule or a one seat per member rule?

Re: Grand Final - Storm vs. Eels
IMHO they will get suspended and the NRL will commit to changing the system next year to ensure that suspensions don't apply to Grand Finals after this year.
They can't take out the QLD/Australian captain one year and then let two worse offenses go unpunished the following year.

There's talk the anti siphoning list will be enhanced soon, which can only be a negative. Apparently someone in the current government has it in for Foxtel. However, on the plus side, they are looking to remove the restrictions on sport having to be on normal FTA before it goes onto a digital chann...

Re: Storm vs **spoilers** At Docklands in the Finals
Seeing as the Titans are likely to choke, hopefully either the Dragons or Bulldogs also choke. We'd then get to play at Docklands again in Week 3 assuming we beat Manly there on Friday.

Oi! Leave Dallas (our best player) out of this. No way does Greg have the consistency and dedication that Dallas brings to the team.Bullets wrote: Our best player

This had better be a mistake.. Otherwise, someone is due for a big pay cut/fine and a big red flag on the automatic reminder system come his contract renewal time.

Bring a radio with you, in case there's no sound and you want to tune into commentary off a radio station.

I like Zappa where he is, on his wing, but whenever he has to go to FB, his game goes to crap about half the time.
Anyway, what's done is done, and I wish him all the best.
