Re: After party
I was also at the shambolic after party in 07. I didn't bother after that. The club burned through an awful lot of goodwill that year.

He has occasionally raved about god during interviews. It's sickening.

Re: Billy's my No.1
Hayne is a hillsong jesus freak. As such, he doesn't deserve much respect off the field.

I'm sure the term "luxury motor coaches" or "road coaches" would be less confusing

Re: Pathetic Sydney media
What's really pathetic is how little effort went into making it. It's a total joke of an applet. They must have only paid for five buck an hour offshore labour to get that done.

Re: Grand Final Week Schedule of events
It's a good thing I swore off Storm post match functions after the debacle at the 07 GF. I have to get back to Queanbeyan before I fall asleeo, to be at work at 8am Monday
(I shouldn't have volunteered to work on the public holiday while the Storm were still alive in the finals)

Folks in Sydney tend to either support or take some pity on the Eels. Folks in Sydney tend to revile the Eagles. Work it out.bula wrote: I just called them and their all sold out why did I wait? Last year there were no problems! Stupid dragons and doggies supporters I bet.

Re: Grand Final Week Schedule of events
They have to be in Sydney on Wednesday (or earlier, but realistically, Wednesday) since there's an official breakfast on Thursday morning.

Re: Anyone flying home on Sunday night?
My flight back into Melbourne is at 10:10. If memory serves me correctly, once you get to Central, its only one, maybe two stops to Sydney domestic. Three Stops (Central - Green Square - Mascot - Domestic) Fairly certain that there will be trains from Homebush going direct to Central. Yes. Many. I...

Re: Storm v Broncos Prelim
I'm sure the Broncos would have brought more fans if there was accommodation in town on grand final weekend, or if the airlines had bothered to run red eye flights back to Brisbane. Neither happened. Even the Broncos team couldn't get accommodation in Melbourne, and had to charter a 737 to get them...

Re: Who's going to Sydney and how ???
Stayed in a small hotel in Glebe for the 2006 GF - A bit like a really clean, friendly version of Fitzroy - Only problem we had was late night public transport from Central out to Glebe,(only went as far as Star City after about 10pm) The tram in Sydney is just a novelty service from nowhere to now...

Re: Anyone flying home on Sunday night?
Get the train. Once you are at Central, trains to the airport are every 15 minutes at that time on a Sunday night (08, 23, 38 and 53 past the hour). They leave from Platform 22 and/or 23. Oh, and remember, your ticket includes travel on the trains but it does not include the gate pass charge on an...
