Re: Hoff ruled out

Simple - If Jez looses, he gets 2 weeks instead of 1.  (Barring the charge being upgraded) if Cam loses, he gets 2 weeks instead of, well, 2 weeks.

There's very little reason not to fight Cam's charge.

I don't mind paying extra even for half decent seating so long as the money goes into building the team (rounds) or the game (finals).

Re: Thank You Rising Sun South Melbourne

Friendly banter is fine - makes a game more enjoyable!  Friendly banter does not last 2 hours (or should I say 1h58m).  If reports as described were at all accurate, the LOOO person here just condoned the actions of a nutter who crossed the line from friendly banter to unnecessary pestering perhaps...

Re: Thank You Rising Sun South Melbourne

If Wests Tigers were involved in the game, or at least in the other half of the finals race, then the two hours worth of banter (if it happened as was described) might be appropriate.  Otherwise it's merely a nuisance and should not be defended or encouraged.

Re: longest 79min and 15 sec of my life

The ending of that Bulldogs game (Rd16 2006) got me off antidepressants - I kid you not. That feeling alone was enough to make me a Storm fan for life. I was sitting in the Lazarus Stand almost directly in front of Hoffman as he caught the ball (near the 20m line).  It was only the 3rd NRL game I'd ...

Re: longest 79min and 15 sec of my life

2006 Round 16 against the Bulldogs at OP ended with a Cronk kick gathered by Hoffman and offloaded to Jake Webster, who scored the try.

anything closer to a train station. BTW I just join league of our own. In that case, I'd suggest the Charles Dickens Tavern. It's on Collins Street, almost on the corner of Elizabeth Street, not far from the Elizabeth Street exit from Flinders Street Station.  It's got some stairs down from the arc...

They already did - but St George just went one (or two) up on the choking stakes and let Manly win big.

wasn't aware of any and nothing came up when I visited it on Wednesday when the Storm section was advertised. I'd strongly consider running a full anti-virus and anti-spyware/malware scan on your PC then.  Oh, and use a real web browser. Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy are two very good fr...

Re: NRL ready to eject Announcer!!!!!!!!

LOL! Grant Goldman! Aside from being a radio announcer, he was the voice of the CityRail DVA system from the mid 1980s until they brought in a female voice around 2000 to do the bulk of the announcements and try and be a bit more gender neutral/varied.  Any pre-recorded announcement on a CityRail st...

Re: nikau tipping WARRIORS to upset STORM

The game we lost against the Warriors earlier this year was in atrocious wet weather.  Storm's attacking 'A game' does not work properly in heavy rain.  We can usually grind out a win regardless, but they were motivated. The game we lost against the Warriors a year earlier, well, I don't remember it...
