really don't think they're even slightly close to the same thing.

Bit of a nightmare month or so for us none the less

Re: Official thread and signing news

Agreed, and we didn't see the same desperation by us at the other end. The effort by paps or lack of for one of Shibasaki trys summed it up.

Re: Official thread and signing news

I've been disappointed with tui as much as everyone else the last couple of years. But at this point I just kind of trust that Bellamy is picking our best side. I find the defensive systems the one that's difficult to assess ie what forward suits team best) If he stays I don't think it's the end of ...

Re: Awards and rep teams 2025

Munster MOM Had a blinder. Hard to watch sometimes him turning in these champagne performances in anything but purple. Walsh on the other hand had a shocker ::) I know I was thinking about it in the lead up to the gf, he's played in 6 gf for us and none of them was he one of the better players on t...

Re: Official thread and signing news

I don't really think us having a bit of money to spend is a big deal as there's not many players available that I'd actually want at free agent market value. I'd love us to try to not have all 4 of our spine players on a mil+ going forward. I'd say the play is to start next year is Munster to start ...

Re: Official thread and signing news

it's going to be really difficult for us to attract players in the next few years with Bellamy moving on (I think) and 2 expansion teams coming in. We've got 2 halves in their 30s so my guess would be the team will look pretty similar for the next 2-3 years. Really need a couple of younger/ fringe m...

Re: Official thread and signing news

I really think we've missed our window this year, I don't think we going to have the money to spend that it feels like. Fair few guys in the next 12 months need upgrading

Re: Official thread and signing news

Must be difficult for the club to try to manage the key players while trying to cover a loss of a spine player with back ups, just can't have everyone. We've still got great players in key positions I think the strange piece of this is not that we're losing what could be a good player in pezet it's ...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Always thought keeping pezet was going to be difficult just bad timing with out current spines contract. I will cut the club some slack as it's not like pezet has been killing it for the last 2 years in reserve grade he had an ACL last year and was out for a good chunk this year with a PCL I believe...

Re: The Statues Outside AAMI

I respect what he was to us just as much as smith and slater the way it finished for us wasn't ideal. Even though he had every right to do what's best for himself, asking to be released, sort of dragging it out all 2017 season with the will he retire or not then going to our biggest rivals at the ti...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Can't remember an offseason like this one for us, so many key decisions for the future in probably needing a new coach, spine shuffle etc. I really hope the club can find a way to release paps before next year I just think he's already reached his peak, I don't think him leaving is going to make us ...

Re: 2025 NRL Grand Final Storm v Broncos

I wonder how players give interviews straight away after a big loss, I mean i would have been too pissed off and I'm just a fan, it's not like I'm even putting my body on the line out there

Re: 2025 NRL Grand Final Storm v Broncos

Even though we were only 4 points behind with plenty of time left I felt like we played what I would describe as "Matt Orford" style of play. When we got behind when Orford was Storm half back it seemed like he would always try to score off every play instead of building pressure and caus...

Re: 2025 NRL Grand Final Storm v Broncos

It's all part of the roster construction I suppose, all the money in the spine + 900k in Nelson who doesn't play. Obviously there's always a game plan etc, but in games like the other night 15min to go behind on the scoreboard Ive always kind of wondered who is calling the shots out there? It's not ...

Re: 2025 NRL Grand Final Storm v Broncos

Just that your last game of the season usually reflects who youve been all season. And then he just went on to say Bellamy's biggest problem with team all year has been our inconsitancy
