Re: Round 12 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

There are a lot of "growing pains" in the Storm - my observations, and I can't wait for your letters :-) 1. Sua - Great in attack but his organisation of defence is partial to blame. That is where Paps is really good. He has been caught out of position and look when a player gets past him...

Re: Round 12 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Are we all generally agreed that the Nick Meaney Centre experiment has failed and is now over ? Footnote…Nick is clearly a very good footballer and no doubt a very good team mate and I like him in our 17. He’s just not got the skill set, strength or tactical positioning to make Centre his position....

Re: Round 12 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Koula out for Manly too, debut for young Lehi Hopoate. Saw the tips on NRL.com, majority have tipped Manly, very surprised at that, whilst we are not full strength we are in this up to our eye balls. Hughes in and Koula out is a huge swing in our favour. It seems that most of the reasoning behind t...

Re: Round 10 vs Sharks

Given how well the Sharks played against the Roosters maybe we are better than the pessimists think? Also take into account an incorrect send off and two somewhat controversial tries as well as the usual misses from our goalkicker, the result could have been quite different I've forgotten, did we b...

Re: Round 10 vs Sharks

Not saying I'm being cynical but the only thing that crosses me mind this week is 1. Who will drop the ball first with an open goal line in front of them Warbrick or Wishart 2. WIll Meaney actually kick more that 50% 3. How long before the commentators notice that what opposing teams, we have are fo...

I wish I could give you a source but I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that we were looking at Vegas as an away game.

Re: Round 5 vs Broncos

Melbourne Storm have confirmed their final line-up ahead of their Round 5 clash against the Broncos at AAMI Park. For the first time since Round 27, young gun Jack Howarth will join the Storm squad, making his impact felt from the interchange bench. Tepai Moeroa rounds out the team as 18th man, whil...

News Ltd sells the Storm

NZ Herald is reporting that News has sold ownership of Storm to a Bart Cambell consortium of very big players in the sports management world . Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing ! https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/rugby-league/nrl/nrl-expat-buys-into-melbourne-storm/AQNGC2UD5MVGVFGJKB2FYLLUJA/

It is also probably a little unfortunate if I post a comment straight after Storm Spirit, especially when you look at SS's location!

Re: Official thread and signing news

After all the preamble with Howarth with the contract, if they are hoping to move him on, where are his deficiencies? Is it ability or attitude?
