Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
I actually dont think that dropping the team and playing the kids is not going to make a blind bit of difference. The whole coaching system seems to be rooted in 2025 but with the changing of the rules there has been no changing of structures. This means that by the second half the team is out of ga...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
Nothing in the forward pack that inspires me to think the metres gained number will be increased, still a little unsure that this is the best team to deal with the new rules and have a sneaky suspicion that Harry is carrying a leg injury that has to be managed.

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
Besides issues with defence and attack, do we actually have the right players to cope with these new rules?

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
Although hard to watch, it was only round 5. I'm still sticking with them. The other thing is this article on the quality of Sua's defence that I agree with https://www.zerotackle.com/sua-faalogo-has-a-major-issue-and-it-could-ruin-the-melbourne-storm-232238/https://www.zerotackle.com/sua-faalogo-ha...

Re: Round 4 v Cowboys
Fox's stats have Sua with only 24 possessions last night. His lowest of the 4 games so far and well down from 43 he had last week. The team are asking a lot of him atm because 1) he's a new toy for the team to use, 2) through 4 games he's truly our most consistent game breaker. Problem with Sua wil...

Re: Round 4 v Cowboys
Yeah, I know it sucked but there are 27 rounds in the season and I'm not giving up on them. There are a few obvious issues that we can see but when they put it together it works. I know it's 2-2 but last week,, there were at least 3 chances to win against the doncs and against NQ , dropped ball as w...

Re: Round 4 v Cowboys
On the 167 podcast, they were talking about Harry's goal kicking , or as they referred to him as Hasim El Grant, he doesn't go into the curving goal kick. It's dart straight or nothing.

Re: RD 3 v Broncos
Although we all know what Munster is capable of , the last two weeks have been well below his best. Even in the podcast he said that he was the best player for the Dragons in the first half.

Pre Season Matches
Time to get back to the real stuff. What are peoples' suggestions for the first pre-season game against the Raiders and are there any rule tweaks for this competition?

Re: Official thread and signing news
Yeah, I assume it's to establish when there was contact made regarding Lomax potentially signing with the Storm. I don't see it being a negative. The negative, and it will come against us big time, is the way the Shitney media portray us, The Melbourne Storm. We'll be the whipping boys again, great...

Re: Official thread and signing news
I'd also back Lomax as the goal kicker more than Meaney. I'm not sure how you would rate Lomax as a defender then Meaney. I know that the right side was often targeted by opposition teams last year.

Re: Official thread and signing news
So questions over Lomax. If we get him where do we play him and who misses out. If winger, Brick goes into the reserves?. If centre Meaney or Howard get dropped or maybe Howard goes into the back row with Chan as the reserve?

Re: Official thread and signing news
Wishart needs to get away from Bellamy and find out if he can actually be a legitimate first grader in one position. Unfortunately for him he wasn’t getting that at the Storm. I always thought of Wishart at best as a possible six but no way a seven. He's kicking for position is suspect as is his go...
